According to Bitpay, there was around $1 billion worth of cryptocurrency transactions in 2019. Coinbase alone processed $135 million worth of cryptocurrency payments for different merchants. Of all the other cryptocurrencies like Ether, Bitcoin is used the most.

I am one of those people. It is an alternative payment channel for me. Like now that we are in crisis, it has advantage as of today. Bitcoin has a great value and is widely known today.

One of the big advantage Bitcoin or other crypto have are that they are able to bypass government restriction when situation arise. Plus since major payment processor like Paypal is not available in some countries, crypto is their only choice.

Yrs Bitcoin is a way out, but its not the basis, just one way but not covering all transaction, its just acting as a choice in a period of time, but people do not consider it as a primary currency for sure, like gold
