Microworkers is a type of website where you can get paid for doing small tasks or you can pay people to do some tasks for you. In this thread we'll be focusing on workers part of this website.

Sponsored: BeerSurveys.com - Earn 10$ per Day doing Tasks, Try Apps, Complete Surveys.

Registration:
To be able to work, you'll need to register first. NOTE* It's really important that you provide true personal informations (name, address etc.) an this is why:
1st: when you first withdraw your money, a PIN will be sent to your home address and you'll need to type it in in order for money to be sent to you. So by entering wrong address there is no way to withdraw earned money.
2nd: After registration you can't edit your personal informations
3rd: Only one account is permitted per person/IP address, so if you try to correct your mistake by making another account, both of them will be terminated and you'll be permanently banned.
So it is highly recommend to write down true informations!!

Working:
As worker there are two types of jobs:

a) Ordinary jobs – these are jobs that every member can do, most common ones are:
  • Sign up jobs – most of the times it's simple task, where you need to sign up on some website.
  • Vote in Contest task – you need to vote fore something, most of the time it's upvoting posts on reddit
  • Youtube jobs - like, share, subscribe and watch a video. Be careful with jobs that give you prewritten text, because commenting same thing on more videos can be classified as spamming and your youtube account could be banned.
  • Write a review - most of the times employer will provide you with some product that you need to present on other blogs.
  • Make an email account - mostly gmail accounts, but also yahoo.
  • There are more tasks, such as facebook like tasks, twitter tasks, completing surveys etc. But they are less common than ones mentioned above.
*After doing job, employer will ask you to submit a proof for it. Most of the time you'll need to provide email address, screenshot, username, URLs or other informations such as your IP address etc.
Doing a good job is important for two reasons
  1. You won't get paid if job isn't done as asked
  2. Poorly done tasks will lower your successes rate, and lower rate means less jobs for you.
B) Hire group jobs – if you've done a good job, your employer can put you on his list, and next time he needs a job done he can hire you. These jobs are really helpful because they are not rated like basic jobs, and you can do them regardless of your temporary success rate.

Pros and Cons:
Pros:
  1. Great and easy to use interface
  2. Compared to the similar websites (picoworkers, rapidworers), payment for tasks is really good.
  3. If you've made a mistake during tasks, most of the employers will give you a chance to revise your job.
  4. You can sort available tasks by different categories: most paying, latest tasks, time to rate etc.
  5. There are different withdrawal methods: DWolla, Moneybookers, Payoneer, Paypal.
Cons:
  1. Usually less than 100 jobs available
  2. Limited number of basic tasks that can be done in a day (temporary success rate)
  3. Long time to rate - most of the tasks are rated within 7 days
  4. After requesting first withdrawal, PIN is sent to your home address, and that can, depending on your location, take up to 2 months.
Tips:
  • Do jobs that have lower TTR (time to rate), that's the best way to keep your temporary success rate above 75% and do tasks everyday.
  • Only accept jobs that you are capable of finishing
  • Avoid jobs that give you prewritten texts to post, because most of the time they'll be considered a spam and you could be banned from website
  • Make social media accounts: facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat, pinterest, linkedin etc. Get some followings on them and make it at least seem that they are legit.
This website has been running since 2009, so there is a lot of proof that they are paying. According to different resources, they send payments twice a week and it takes no longer than 3 days to receive payment after withdrawal request. Finally, working on this website can't be your main source of income, but is good for making some extra money.

Does this program have referral option?
There are two domains of this site. The worldwide domain (microworkers.com) and the second one (microworkers.us). The US one has the a referral program but you can enjoy it only if you live in USA. By the way, from which county are you, dear Daniel?

I'm from Romania buddy. Just want to let you know you have the right to post your referral link when you introduce a program on this forum and also you can post a referral link while you post a payment proof, it doesn't matter who posted first about the program. This is to be equal to all members.

Can I post referral link without adding any payment proof? Or is compulsory to post payment proof in order to post my referral link?

This site is probably my favorite among the other "micro tasks" jobs. I heard a lot of people love using mTurk but unfortunately it's only for US citizens. My complain about Microworkers right now is that there are a lot duplicate jobs. I've seen about 4-5 jobs requiring you to sign up to the same site.

I have noticed this as well. It's a little bit annoying but other than that its okay. How long did it take to get your pin for your first payment?

I tried microworkers but couldn't find a good number of jobs for my country or for international members and the amount of money you can earn is quite minuscule unless you perform a lot of micro jobs. There are a ton of sites like Microworkers so if a person were to join several of them he or she could potentially earn good spending money but it's too much of a hassle for me.

I have also heard that this site has some clients who post microjobs with the ago of phishing or sending malware to those who sign up. In fact, I have also seen a review in which advice is given for one not to use their personal email for this site in order not to expose themselves. Is this true?

Not only are there not many for my country, the ones I did find have instructions that were either vague, or links to a site that didn't work! It was frustrating.

I used Microworkers until I reached the $9 payout point, where they sent me a pin via my mailbox which in my opinion is a weird way of paying out. It has been two months and I still have not received it. It was quite disappointing and I gave up on the site, wish they had a more convienient way.

I've had mixed experiences with this site. For one, they didn't support payments via PayPal, so I had to have my check physically mailed to me, which took weeks for it to arrive. Plus I had to request it several times and complain to them before they finally sent it to me.

The other big problem is many of their tasks are impossible to complete and receive credit for. Their advertisers will post a task for you to do, then tell you to prove you completed the task by cutting and pasting some specific information from the confirmation page. Where they cheat you is they ask you to provide proof that doesn't exist on the confirmation page, so they go you to do the task, then they don't have to pay you because you didn't provide the proof they required. Even when Microworkers bans them for doing this, they just come back under another name.

In most cases, they're just using Microworkers as a middle man to get people to complete incentivized offers that they then get paid for by some other third party. In other words, they may sign up as an affiliate to some insurance company which pays you $7 per completed auto insurance application. They will then go on Microworkers and post a "task" for you to get paid $1 for completing an insurance application, which in turn earns them $7. But they may or may not ever pay you that $1 for the task, since they will require some proof of completion that doesn't exist.

I reported a company just for this exact reason above, I gave them exactly what they asked for and they still rejected my answer. They were quite scummy, the company continued coming back under different guises and also kept sending me spam. Luckily I used a second e-mail address which I highly recommend because most of the companies pay you $1 but earn more by selling your e-mail address to mailing lists.
I am a bit sour that my check never arrived in the mail despite several complaints. What I do not understand is that, forum wheel can send me a Paypal amount of $0.25 so why can Microworkers not send us the $10 we earned?
