MeritCrowd is basically a content writing website which pays for writing articles. The website is based in Sweden. The selection process is very simple. You have write a 300 word sample article on the given topic. If it is approved, you can start earning.

It pays 1.20 Euro per word which is very good. The only drawback is that it does not have tasks everyday. We have to visit the website daily to check if any work is available. The jobs are reserved on a first come basis.

It is a legit site and pays correctly by the end of every month. It is available to all countries. The payment supported is PayPal.

is it really 1.20 euro per word? seems a very high rate. or you wanted to say 00.20 euros? if I am going to write an article, I will get 500 $ for an article! seems too good to be true. xD

1,82 £ per word can't be true , but it is good for writers to have such website , I don't know which languages supported by the site ? I will join if it supports Arabic.

Okay, after your application is successful, you will NOT have to bid for you to be approved to write an order. You will have the freedom to pick any order and deliver it within a specified time. You do not need to be pre-approved for a task unless it is a special order to some individual writer.

Thank you! Figured it out actually, I submitted an article this afternoon. I'll just wait for now. And oh do you write there too? How long did you wait to get approved? I spent time last night reading comments in this thread and they all had to wait a significant amount of time.

I forgot I actually submitted an article to this site, it was a few weeks ago. I think they are known to have so few tasks, usually zero haha. But you could have success here. Let us know when you do :)

Guess their traffic is so low, not that many task are available to chose from since there's not that many people who are looking for articles there. Tried to take a peek at their traffic through Similarweb doesn't give me any result.

Thanks for the heads up :) I went ahead and registered, so I now have an account there. However, I have yet to receive my verification email. I even asked for it to be re-sent but still nothing. I might have to email them directly. I hate when that happens LOL

Thank you? Yeah, it might be a good site but I realise if I'm not receiving the link there's nothing I can do about it except to move on and try to search for other sites. It's such a shame, though.

I have a feeling the rate is actually 0.012 Euro per word rather than 1.20 Euro per word. Still, it wouldn't be a bad price compared to other freelance sites nowadays.

I'm going to apply as a writer and I'll let you guys know if I get accepted.

Kinda tough to research since the payrate isn't listed on their website, but yeah, I think the OP wrote the payrate wrong, some reviews I read state that Meritcrowd do pay up to 1 USD per 100 words.

Thanks for the explanation. This site has really piqued my interest and I haven't been interested in any writing site for ages. But after registering, I never received a verification link. I even went back and requested it again. It didn't even go to my spam folder so I don't know what's up with that. I guess it's just not meant to be, sadly.

Its a legitimate content writing site that pays people to write articles. This is a European based company and offers work in several languages. At the end of the month, the company pays everyone for the articles they've completed. Its a really good way to earn some extra cash online.

I don't doubt for a minute that it's a legitimate, paying site. But it's just disappointing that after I opened an account, I never received the verification link like I was meant to. I was really looking forward to giving the site a good go too. But hey, it does happen from time to time, so what else is new ? ?
