No, you are wrong as was i at first ?. You have 2 minutes to solve usually easy calculations and you get 1 point for each correct answer. In these 2 minutes you can usually get from 50 to 100 points depending on how many you solve. (i usually get 50-60 points) So if you are a quick solver, you can easily collect those 3000 points.
Also, for every article you read in their blog, you get an additional 10 points. (max 50 points)
But as of yestreday i think, they have disabled their points system so you don't get any points now due to a problem they are facing, don't remember exactly what now. They are working on it and they say soon the points system will be back, so we just wait for now.
