I spent a year in a IT school, where there were teachers teaching us programming and i really liked it, but since this pandemic happened, we have to study at home, and as you know, it's nowhere to be compared with visiting school, so there are a lot of issues, that you can't find a solution for in the internet or your language doesn't help you at all to explain them, unlike in school where there's the teacher that can help you with everything, as well as the friends, and there is a lot of practice and exercices in the school unlike in home,
so what do you prefer, studying programming in a school or alone ?

Well i do not have a personal TV in my room, and I'm more comfortable studying in my room than in the school library where there are class mates or maybe friends seated close to me.
I guess everybody should just stick with whichever way they think helps them the most.

Indeed - that is the exact truth. We are not all the same and must, always, follow the method that works best for us, not that which works for others. Try everything and then choose whichever works best for you - something that is true about many things in life!

For me, I prefer learning at home cause that's where I'm more focused and less distracted, also I make use of the internet anytime I'm stuck with some problems while studying at home.
There is more demerits with the studying at home all alone than at school. In most cases the interaction between the teachers and the classmates really contributes a lot to the general understanding of the subjects.

Personally I might be more distracted at home, home is where my TV, my books and lots of other things live that can distract me! .................................ions of home!
Home distractions do come into picture for me as well. At times, I tend to focus more and be more efficient at Office, or well in case of Students, that would be their School.

Yes, I think that must be true of a lot of people - that must be one of the reasons why companies are seemlingly all trying to stop work at home and force people back into offices - they save a huge amount on rent if they can have smaller offices, but they are still trying to get people back - must be a reason!

In certain cases(my org included), people sometimes have a lot of Internet problems. Some have family members who are not that cooperative or other conditions hinder efficient working.
In some cases, it is the end client that want to meet people on a regular basis.
Plus inherent Management doubts regarding their employees 🙂

That is making companies call back their employees to offices.

Yes, one tends to miss those interactions when studying at home.

Very good points, there are a lot of videos of interrupted zoom calls online! There are certainly problems with working at home, I think the future for a lot of companies will be hybrid working, where you are mostly ended up with the best of both worlds...

Yes Hybrid is the way forward except for those few employees who stay thousands of Miles away from the Office location but are essential to the operations of a Company.

I totally get where you're coming from! Learning programming at school definitely has its perks, like having teachers and classmates to lean on for help and lots of hands-on practice. It's a supportive environment that can make learning feel more engaging and less overwhelming. Plus, there's something special about being in a classroom setting where you can bounce ideas off each other and learn from each other's experiences.

But studying programming at home also has its advantages, especially during times like these when going to school might not be an option. It gives you the flexibility to learn at your own pace and focus on topics that interest you the most. And with all the resources available online, like tutorials, forums, and coding communities, you can still find plenty of support and guidance, even if you're learning solo.

So, I guess it really depends on your learning style and what works best for you. Some people thrive in a classroom setting, while others prefer the freedom and independence of learning on their own. Either way, as long as you're passionate about programming and willing to put in the effort, you'll find success no matter where you learn!
