The general perspective about wealthy people not having access to their total money in cash is true, they are either in the bank or Invested into different businesses.

The world richest man, Jeff Bezos whose net worth is $183 billion currently holds $9.53 billion in cash which is just 5%.

Do you think this amount is small or big to be held in cash by a man of his status?.

Having a 1 million dollars in cash is already huge for me that's insane. Too keep not just a billion but billions in cash i wonder where he stores em? ?

That's just....

Well, I believe it's not too much. He probably needs to use it for daily expenses. Such money is the type that is spent daily on running his business if there is need for it.

But... Isn't most of these kind of rich people uses card a lot? He probably prefer having all his money in physical since all of his money is on his other estates and business not in physical form.

Not really. I know someone who does something similar, even though he's so far from how rich Jeff Bezos is.

He's a good investor, but about 90% is fixed.

He keeps a significant amount of cash, but usually at the end of the day, he can spend half or more of that cash on running his business.

9.5$ billion is enough for a person though I don't know his activities yet as he is a businessman so he has diversified his investment with the right strategy
Actually I could agree with you because we don't really the activities he engaged on daily that require cash donations and transactions.

Well my research is on Americans and I found that most of top earners like neil Patel and Selena love to have smaller cars so they can save on their time and not waste it both said that once in their interview

Well i mean for a normal person it's normal to carry even 100% of your cash. Having a million dollar in cash sitting in your house is normal i guess.. but i doubt bezos is filling his pockets with 100K dollars in cash when he goes out to eat.

He doesn't have to fill his pocket with huge dollars but certainly reasonable amount in cash might always be arround him for immediate use and donations.

no its totally ok, because as a smart person you need to diversify your income streams such as having 5% of your income in cash and lets just say 15% in metals and then maybe 7% in Crypto and a certain percentage in stocks too whilst the rest is bringing in passive income too.

that way if one income stream is affected then you are not left in financial distress

Im not saying he fill his pocket with that huge amount. Im saying that people like him usually use cards when paying for their personal expenses such as eating on restaurants. Ofcourse everyone not only rich people carry out reasonable amount when going out.

Alright that's true. The cash arround will definitely be for petty expenses so that may not be need to always use card and I wouldn't know if in the US there is limitations to card transactions daily.

Well, I would say small only from the moment that its assets could be considered priceless!
But who could say that 9.53 Billion dollars are few, to be held in cash?
After all, those that he keeps in the banks or invested, are in any case by his property and not shared.

For me is even risky for me to hold $1 million in cash if my total net worth is $189 billion. Because nowadays you need know who can come and break down your house simply for the money. But if its stored in the bank, it will be hard for one to take it.

I agree with you. In the bank, money is much safer.
But nevertheless I believe that Jeff Bezos does not go much with cash, but credit cards.

I believe so, because I don't know how he will be going with such huge amount of money. Other wealthy men today in my country is always afraid to store money in the house, because of the dangers it pose.

Well, he has a so huhe capital that would not run out, until the end of the Universe!
It would be worth seeing if he also uses cash to get coffee.
