There are different terminology that we have to deal with in everyday life in business sector. One of them which is very common but have different in fundamental is savings and investment. Though from the outside, both look same but there are some fundamental difference between these two.

When you save money for your savings, you are putting your money for future purposes without giving any importance to the appreciation. The value of the money you save more or less will be same after certain time. While in case of investments, you are putting your money in the schemes where there is appreciation. Means the value of your invested money will increase with time. Surely investment has higher risk then savings.

Savings and investment are used synonymously by some people but there's a difference between them. Savings yields income but investments yield higher income. Not all savings yield income though but some institutions give returns on your savings which depends on how long you have saved your money with them.

Savings is simply a situation where a sum of money is kept aside and not spent so that it can be used in the future.
Investment on the other hand has to do with putting some amount of money into ventures that have the capacity to multiply and replenish itself. Savings yield interest depending on where you save. Investments yield returns which are much more than interests yielded by savings.

You are right savings can not generate any sort of return at all people who are ready to have high returns are always ready to take high risk and this way they can actually invest in risky assets sometimes indeed .
Exactly, if you really want to make money, you cannot rely on Savings alone, cause saving is more like you keep money to use in the future. It does not generate any profit for you. While investing on the other hand can be used to generate profit for you.

In contrast, investment refers to the act of putting money into a financial product with the expectation of earning a return, such as stocks, bonds, or real estate. Savings are typically considered to be less risky than investments, but they also tend to offer lower returns. Investments, on the other hand, can be more volatile, but they offer the potential for greater returns.

in investment your return on investment can be high this may depend on the demand on what you invested for. if you invest your money on a landed property the value of that property can be highly estimated because of the demand of that property but interims of saving your money can only be calculated base on the amount you saved.

There is a significant difference between savings and investment. While both involve setting money aside, the purpose and the return on investment are very different. Savings is the act of setting money aside for future use, and typically refers to money held in a bank account or similar low-risk, low-return investment.

You definitely do some saving in your daily life which can be useful to you in bad times. If you invest this saving on some good platform then you can get double profit or savings.Without this you cannot do anything, if you do not take risk then you will never be able to benefit.

There is climb difference between savings and investment. Savings comes up when you are putting in certain amount of money regularly into one place with the hope of investing is to make more money for yourself. You should know that savings comes before investment.
