Here's how the site works:

1. Sign up
2. Create original content. They require you are fluent in English and have good grammar skills to post on this site. Quality content gets more site reviews and earns you more money.
3. You will earn 75% of the revenues generated from your submission. The site has its own IB Ad system because many contributors had issues with Adsence and couldn't get an account.
4. As a contributor of the site they encourage you to engage with different writers and rate their content by moving it up or down. You can have debates, interesting conversations and meet new writers on the site.
5. They have a referral system and give you a referral code so you can invite more writers to the site. You can also email your articles to friends and family to gain more site views and earn more revenue on the site.
6. No worries about finding your own Adsence ads because the site has it's own revenue sharing and they pay you direct to your PayPal account.

This site looks promising and you can upload a variety of content to the site.

I have read reviews on Infobarrel and have not come across any complaint. I signed up with the site quite a while ago though that was just it. I was impressed by the fact that they cater for your Adsense account. Of late,Google has reduced the ranking of content farms and this has reduced my vim to john them.

They no longer relay on Google Adsense and now they have their own revenue sharing ad campaigns. I think it is a lot better and you might want to check this out. They claimed they had way to many problem with people and Adsense and so they stopped this a while ago.

Never heard about this site before. It seems to be a good one. There are some photos which I tried to sell online with no luck. Maybe I can try to upload my photos on there. I wonder how much I will actually get from them.

As far as I know it is a revenue sharing site. So if people like them, comment on them, and interact with them you might earn some money off of them.

In the opening I stated they no longer rely on Google Adsense - they have their own revenue sharing they use now. So you don't need to worry about this at all anymore. Hope you understand it now. The site will use their own advertising and you'll be paid from the site now.

I do believe that any quality site that attracts people to the site demands a good quality of articles. They receive a lot of site visitors and a good quality of articles is important to the site. Plus the better your article is, the more site review you get, and the more money you can earn.

I started my freelance writing efforts over 5 years ago. Two sites – Suite101 and HUBPages - gave me a start and helped me gain confidence. Because of these sites I went in search of similar writing communities and came across InfoBarrel. My experience at this site was "strange". I published some content there. But I removed it and republished the articles elsewhere. Some of my content ended up at HUBPages. Like I said the sites were similar and had pretty much the same publishing requirements.

The writers who publish at InfoBarrel are very good writers. But that site just wasn't my cup of tea. That was about 2011/2012. It's 2018 and maybe things are different. But I'm not interested in giving it another try.

Bottom Line: It's not a scam. It's legit. I just don't like it. Blame it on me.

There are some writing sites that are just fun to join and work on and others seem to be a bit strange. I understand what you are talking about and have experienced this in the past. I did like writing for a few other sites a few years back and earned quite a bit of money from them each month. I know the two sites I did work on, I was earning a little over $2000 a month from them. Then all of a sudden one closed, and then the second one got a bit strange and I stopped working on them.

Well now I am totally confused. I heard that InfoBarrel was closing down. However I just visited the site and created a user account. No problem. Although, I confess that I was at this site years ago and I didn't really like it. I deleted my account. But maybe it's different now. If this is a legit income opportunity I might as well give it a try. If I have any success, I will definitely report back. Right now I have to go and create my user profile.

I don't think this site is closing down and it is still going strong. Over the years site do change and they do improve and add a lot more opportunities to make money. As a site grows so do the people who allow the site to use their programs.

It may not be closing down but I'm moving on. I don't really like that site. It has been a while since I had an account there. I spent one day there, tried to publish an article and then I remembered why I didn't like there. I don't like the publishing platform and I don't think it has that much revenue potential. There was a time when the comparative or competitive writing sites were HUBPages, Squidoo, and Wizzley. HUBPages bought out Squidoo and then there were two. I have articles at both HUBPages and Wizzley. The content is evergreen and they have been online for years. I'm happy with that. I don't really need my content at InfoBarrel. But it's a legit site and if others want to publish content they should give it a try.

I don't think you actually need to publish content at all the revenue sharing sites online. I know a lot of people who actually do this to try and increase the amount of revenue share they earn each month. This is very time consuming and it does take a lot of time to write a decent article to post on each o the sites.

From what I heard last time, infobarrel is losing traffic. And it is not as much as it was in the past. So that is something that worries me these days. So that's one more reason I don't trust the content mills like infobarrel. I think currently only hubpages seems to be getting some traffic lately.

I had joined the site when they were using Adsense. Now that they changed to their own system, it should be better, hopefully.
