HubPages Review.jpg

HubPages is a site that offers a freelance writer a chance to create a blog or weblog for free. On the site, you can earn money through their revenue sharing program or any affiliate accounts you have. Furthermore, you can join Google AdSense and ad the code to your sub-domain to earn money through this program. The site also has their own ad sharing program you can join to increase your earnings from your weblog. The site has a revenue sharing program that they split with you 60/40. This means that 60% of the time your ads are shown on your personal weblog and their 40% of the time the site will share their ads on your weblog. This is a good site to join as a new freelance writer, a video publisher, or even create different polls and quizzes for people to interact with. The site has been online since 2006 and is a well-established site that has thousands of site visitors each day. You are sure to earn some money from this site if you stick with it long enough and write different hub posts for your weblog.

How Does It Work?
  • You'll need to join the site and create your account. The site requires that you create a username. When choosing your username, choose it carefully because the username you choose will be your weblog name.
  • There are many sub-domains on the site and each sub-domain is the username the person selected when they joined the site. Therefore, you want to create a review weblog, you should choose a unique username to use.
  • Once you have all this setup, it is easy to add a hub to your sub-domain. The hub is the blog post that you create on the site and add to your weblog.
  • When creating your post you'll be using a capsule to create your hub with. There are many different types of capsules that you can choose from. If you're writing a review, you'll select a text capsule to use. However, if you want to post a video you've created, you'll choose a video capsule to use.
  • Once you're done adding your image, title, and test the hub can be published on your weblog.
  • Now you can share this with your friends or anyone on your social media account.
  • If you want, you can write as many weblogs that you wish for your account. Normally, most of the bloggers on this site will write around 15 a month. This gives your post time to be found and people to read it and interact with it.
How To Earn:
  • You can create a Google AdSense account and add the links to your hub pages or your weblog. The ads from this will be displayed on your pages 60% of the time. You'll earn money from the impressions that you get when your ads are displayed.
  • You can join some affiliate programs and write reviews. You'll earn 100% from your affiliate links that you embed in your reviews.
  • You can also join the site's revenue sharing program and share the revenue from the ads the site posts on your hub.
  • Join in the contest and earn money for writing about a specific topic the site selects. This is a great way to increase your revenue on the site if you win the contest.
  • There is a referral program that you can join. You can add your referral links to other hubs and share them. If a person visits this hub, you'll earn 10% of the impressions during the time the person is on the site.
  • As long as you keep your account open and the posts in your account, you will continue to earn money from the impressions that you receive when a person visit your pages.
Payment:

Each month on the 28th, the site sends your earnings to your PayPal account. You must have PayPal in order to be paid by the site.

Who has an account on HubPages and how do you like it?

What happens there - do they set the rules and then approve every article you write? I thought you just basically wrote the articles without the need to have them approved and then shared them across various social media platforms to attract views?
we have to submit some writing and they gonna "check and review" it wether meet their qualifications or not. we can see that mostly writing in hubpages are very good

Oh, ok! I never knew that part about HubPages. I always thought it was more like Bubblews where people just wrote about any subject and submitted the articles without the need for approval. As long as the reviewers are fair, I have no problem with that whatsoever.

Wow, I didn't know they could reject you! I'm sorry to hear that. I thought you just basically opened an account and then started writing without the need for approval. It's certainly a legit paying site that's stood the test of time.

Bubblews is scam and had fooled so many people, including me. What bubblees had is very unprofessional and fishy

Well, Bubblews was initially a great platform and probably the best writing sight at the time. But most people believe the high rate it paid was just not sustainable and also contributed to the site going down. Sadly for me, I joined at the point where it was already going down. I just wish the people behind it would have been more open to the loyal members about what was going on.

Just to be honest, i never got nay payment from bubblews since i knew many years ago. I saw some payment proof of it but i think that is only bait

So, you may have joined around the same time as me. Such a shame. A lot of my online friends were able to benefit from it, at least. And they made a huge amount of money, so it definitely wasn't bait or a scam.

I think there are some people who are paid by Bubblews, but they are just bait so that more people come and write there.

the trick is terrible because it takes a lot of casualties. because writing on Bubblews itself is quite easy and does not need special qualifications like on various other paid to write sites

Really!? when I was just starting out my online working journey, I came across MANY people who were regularly paid by Bubblews for over a year. From what I understand, the money dwindled because the site was overpaying. A lot of people were making hundreds of dollars per month. Unfortunately, I think you and I were too late to the party, that's all.

The competition on the online writing websites have increased enormously as more people want to work from the comfort of home and many have lost their jobs.

The pandemic has led people losing their jobs and at the end of their tether, they are now looking to online sites for work. A lot of these people would ordinarily never have considered online work but I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.

Again, I'm NOT disputing this! All I'm saying is that for quite a while, Bubblews was a legit paying site. But it did turn scammy when this started going downhill because it stopped paying and by the time it collapsed, it owed a lot of people money.

Yeah. I knew bubblews since i knew mylot. So it was several years ago. What i saw in it is no screening so it was to easy for all submitting their writing

That's why I was saying it wasn't a straight-up scam from the get-go. It started paying but then stopped when things got bad. I don't like it when site owners don't communicate with their loyal members and Bubblews sadly kept quiet until it finally disappeared without a trace.

yeah bubblws is not interactive. We can't even get in touch. such a thing is quite worrying. and sadder, people also lost their writing on the bubblews. I hope this is a lesson for us

Well, as far as I know, it sank without a trace after a while. It's long gone. Even when you do a search for it now, there's absolutely NOTHING except what the site was about ?I think most people who wrote there learnt a very good lesson. Anyone who didn't learn anything from that experience is just a glutton for punishment.

Yeah we see in internet, many people become so greedy and full of gluttony. The saddest thing, they become victim of online crime, phising and scamming
