I noticed some threads attract a lot of trash posts and literally the genuine reviews are hard to spot.

I was thinking first to decrease again the number of posts or decrease the earning rates but that will affect the entire community.

At this point, all threads that attract trash content will be closed and I will start looking closely at members name that spread trash posts instead of genuine reviews.

I will start making a list and these members that post trash content will be excluded from our rewarding program.

Any ideas will be welcome! WEe all want to keep the health of the community. Thanks!

What should I do?
- close threads that attract trash?
- ban members that post trash?
- decrease earning rates
- decrease posting limit
- other idea?

Recently, some users have been taking old comments and reposting them as their own... I've reported a couple of users, but it seems like they keep coming back (under a different name...?). It's hard to catch people like that and the reason I caught on was because they copied one of my comments.

@Miya
I agree with your writing. You're a very old member I hope you don't misunderstand what I wrote. suggestions are good, there is trouble in this regard. I think we need some self-criticism.As members, I think there are things that can be done personally.for example, the following topics are deceptive or closed. In this forum you have introduced all. but it just waits, for example, you can check them and report them as garbage.

I understand what you mean, but it is impossible to go through all the topics and tag them. BMF has thousands of topics and I only report whatever I see.

In regards to topics opened by me, I try to go through them whenever I can, for updates. Unfortunately, I cannot do them all and most times I just go through those that are still generating replies. For faucets especially, I have so many topics that I cannot manage them all. And yes, while those that you listed are now closed, it is not a problem with trash/spam posting in those threads. It's a matter of organization. If you wish to help out with tagging topics, you are free to report or post in those threads to ask Mr. B to change the tag.

very useful thread, i like it

90% trash comments belongs to faucet section. I think there should be a template for these kind of posts. For example if I try to comment in *** faucet review post, I have to fill a template. I won't write something my own.
Another thing is people are generally opening same threads multiple times. I think there should be a title template too so we can sort posts alphabetical. For example if I try to find Exxx wallet review, I filter subforum with alphabetical order and surf on forum with this order type. But if we want that work, we should post everything with some style. I can share screen shots in couple days.

Basically stopping people from writing trash is almost impossible, unless their content is checked manually and the points are reverted back. This way those who think they are going to get paid for typing trash will eventually stop doing that as it won't help them make any money on BMF.

I try to grind on quality posts by finding sites that don't have reviews yet, and I think the best way to limit trash threads and comments is to have dynamic earning, to where depending on the length of a post, you get more BMF points. For instance, a few sentences can get you 10 BMF, but a long comment can get you upwards of 50 BMF. The main problem with posts is that no matter how long your comment is, you will only get 10 BMF, or no matter how long your thread is, you will always get 50 BMF. Instead, you can reward people who make long posts to get more rewards, and it will encourage more posters to have longer posts, and most likely better posts because of it.

in the last 2 months it doesnt seem that there are less spammers but even more.... maybe you should get some real og trusted members to be mods who would punish some real obvious spammers
Forum keeps growing that's why, the bigger we get the more spam we attract, it's the nature of things. ;)

Yup, it is really strange that a successful forum like BMF attracts so many idiots who are not even able to read the rules, let alone follow them :Banghead:

Okay now I see that we have die hards BMFers who really wants quality and excellency from this community.I think that the first step is to continue learning from others and always guide guidance from admin. Where necessary.

The other thing I too do not like is the fact that we just have some members who want to scam unsuspecting members in the exchange. That is not cool at all.We need to fish out the SCAMERS at all costs.

Then lastly members have to grow into profitable individuals.Only that will help us to continue to be relevant to the forum for a very long time.

Seems like this thread was a long time ago. If the admin is still concerned about the trash content/post on the forum, then here is my thought.

It's like a game, you level up and earn more, and low level, you earn less.

For example, a newbie in level 1 earns only 10 BMF points; after he/she posts 100 comments/post all/few (randomly) will be checked by a moderator if they think the user posts overall quality content, then he/she will level-up and his earning will be increased, i.e. 20 BMF

Now, if a high-level user, let's say he/she usually receives 50BMF points per post, but after a while, his content quality is reduced, then the admin will level him down also his earning will reduce.

So, what I am trying to say here, you are encouraging members to post quality content by increasing their earnings per post while punishing members for low quality.

It will be an ongoing process; if someone can start posting quality content, then he/she will level-up again and will earn more like before.
