My name is Théo Metayer, I'm 18 years old and I've been earning money on the Internet for 2 years.
I specify that I am French, so please excuse me for the potential spelling mistakes.


Today, we are in 2021, and with the Covid 19 pandemic, the ways to make money on the Internet have increased considerably.

So I did some research to keep up to date and found out that it is possible to make money from royalty-free and resale ebooks. So I wanted to know if any of you knew a bit more about this way of making money, because I'm really interested.

I would like to say that I was offered a pack of 100 royalty-free and resale ebooks dealing with many subjects (Fitness, Food, How to earn a living on the Internet.....), so I share it with you HERE!

yeah selling ebook is profitable , I think the most profitable part there is actually when the person start getting more sales and profits off selling the ebook , it's actually a big advantage to them in such a way I think

I heard from someone that we don't have to own a book before we can turn them into ebook and sell them. Infact there are people that are making money from other people's book just by summarizing a while book into smaller version as there are people that don't have time to read a while book

Just be careful of copyright, all major platforms are very strict and will ban your account if you are using any copyrighted materials. While there are plenty of ways to use other people's work without breaking copyright it is a dangerous area to be in, Care needed!

More than good information. If you are thinking of non-fiction ebooks good information isn't good enough - there is lots of good information, freely available just by a Google search. You need to think how you can present your information in a way that is better than the free websites ... not an easy task...

It's interesting that you say that - I would actually say the opposite, at least from my perspective, which is of course limited, ebooks seem more and more popular. I do a lot of work writing and editing ebooks for people and I seem to have more work than before - of course I don't know how sales go for them, but I have plenty of repeat customers so I guess they must sell!!

Smashwords was taken over by Draft2Digital some time ago. While the smashword site is still there and works as normal for exisiting users (for now anyway) I think that new users are directed to Draft2Digital - which is a platform I don't think is nearly as good.....

I host my books on Selar. I have an Amazon Kindle Page where I make some little ocassional earnings. My best advice is to look for local platforms in your country where you can sell your ebooks. That's where I have had the most sales for my ebooks.

How has your experience with Selar been? I thought I'd heard of everywhere you can list ebooks, but that one is new to me? Do you get a lot of sales via them? Personally I too only make occasional sales via Amazon, most of my sales come through Smashwords...

Selar is based in Nigeria. I think it would work mainly for books targeted mainly at Nigerian audience. I have lots of sales from it. I even got lots of preorder sales. My book was an autobiography though on how I overcame masturbation. Maybe that's why it resonated with the younger audience.

That is one of the problems we have with assumed writers. They just lump AI contents and expect people to buy. A little bit of personal experiences that people can learn from would be more attractive for someone to purchase. Would be doing another one on my experience as a young single Nigerian guy with no job. I would still sell it on Selar and Amazon Kindle.

There are a lot of platforms that you can use to publish your ebooks free and make money. We have Apple books, Barnes and Noble plus the famed Amazon KDP. The major issue trying to make money with ebooks is promotion and advertising to the right audience that would find your ebooks enthralling to pay for it. You can use Goodreads for your book promotion.

Based on my opinion, one of the most effective ways at which you can make money with ebooks is when you focus on a particular niche and the niche must be the one that has high demand and you should also create valuable content that your audience needs.
