How to Make Money Blogging.png

You all must have heard about the term blogging but many aren't still aware of it. Let me provide you a brief understanding of it. Blogging is a way to maintain a Blog by continues updates as and when required as it's a dynamic process and needs some updates from time to time. We all can start our Blog and it can help us a lot in the long run as things cannot improve overnight.

How to Make A Blog:

First of all, we need to start our Blog and for that, we need to think about the following things:

1. Blog Platform
2. Web Hosting for our Blog.
3. Our Domain Name.
4. Designing our Blog

I recommend you to choose WordPress as it's the biggest blogging platforms in the world, with a countless number of plugins and add-ons and to add to that unlimited number of infinite ways to design and layout our blog.

After that, we need to have a Web hosting and Domain Name for which I recommend Ipage as its most trusted and probably one of the most affordable hosting providers in the market.

After installing the WordPress plugin, we can easily design a nice theme for our Blog and create a blog on a topic which we are most passionate about.

The appearance of a Blog is most important so we need to take our time in doing that properly. After initial setup, we can go for its monetization.

How to Make Money Blogging:
The next step after we have our own blog is to make money more from it and with that we can make a good amount of money by regularly updating our blog as per the visitor's requirements and as per the need of the hour.

For example, if our Blog is about Gardening then we need to update it continuously as per the new machinery and tools used in Gardening.

We can make money from it by monetizing our Blog with many ways but I will recommend you to go with Pay per Click Advertising with Google Adsense as its one of the best.

Once you Sign up to them, Google Adsense will provide you code to place on your Website which is in the form of advertisements. Whenever a user/visitor clicks on those ads you will be paid for that. To make more money you need to push more traffic to your Blog and we can use social media tools in doing that.

To Sum up, I will say you can easily set up a blog with the investment of 60-100 Dollars and that's the initial cost and can make an enormous amount of money with our efforts and hard work but it's not possible overnight.

First off you should decide if you go pro with self hosted Wordpress site or go blogging as a hobby with Blogspot for example which is free.

Choosing self hosted will require from your part the following things:
1. domain name cost around $10/year (keep it short, easy to remember, stay away from trademarks)
2. web hosting - cost around $7/month (there's thousands of web hosting providers, don't waste to much time looking for the best web hosting in the world because there's no such thing, there's only best web hosting for you)
3. Download and install Wordpress latest version on your web hosting and begin the general Wordpres configuration and optimization process, I advice you to choose a theme and let it like this, you have plenty of time to change it later, maybe you decide to buy a remium wordpress theme etc.
4. Start publishing original and helpful content, may include articles, tutorials, videos and information related to niche you've choosed to blog about.
5. Learn search engine optimization to optmize properly your website so search engines will send you traffic.
6. Once organic and referral traffic is coming to your blog look for advertising networks to monetize it and earn money, also check if there's any affiliate programs which has products related to your niche you could promote and earn a commission.

Good Luck! :D

When I put out my blog so many years ago, my objective was to have a platform for my stories, just like having an outlet. It didn't occur to me that I could earn from it with the help of Adsense. At that time, my blog has a lot of readers and I was really surprised when cents came coming to my Adsense counter.

And when I forgot all about it, the surprise came when the postal mail from Google arrived to inform me that I have $100 in Western Union. At first, I thought is was a joke so I procrastinated for a week before I summon enough courage to check on Western Union. Eureka, it was true.

I think a lot of people will start a blog for the same reasons as you did, and they simply wanted to share their views with others before they realised they could also earn from it at the same time.

Blogging isn't going to make you rich, but if you can at least get some money for doing something you enjoy, then you'd be a fool not to.

I am having one at blogger with adsense and hope to hear something from them in near future as I am sharing my travel related stories with related photos I took traveling in many parts of the globe and my own country.

I started my blog just like you and I will be continuing this way and will not be making money from it at all. I also can be bothered to meet googles terms for joint Adsense at the moment, maybe in the future.

I always really hoped that the whole blogging for an income thing would pan out, but life was pretty quick to shut that one down in my experience, but I am sure that it works a lot better for others. It does take time, though, and certainly you need to get off the ground running, which does mean that there is a little bit of luck involved too.

Iwas started years back and got few checks in time with them, later my sites were went downd so stopped promoting them. Few of my readers told they don't like adsense ads while reading the blog, soremoved them from under the blog post and the CTR gone down.
A lotof people still makes great amount from Adsense, but I believe in these days it is hard for them too.

It seems I am frustrated anymore to apply for AdSense for my blog. I was denied for three times. So I have come up to try other means of monetizing my blogs so I that I could earn also from my blog.
I've been approved by Adsense very hard too, I tried 4 times to finally get an AdSense account, my website was low quality when I tried to apply but luckily I'm the kinda of person that never gives up on something, especially stuff related to working online. You should pursue your dream buddy!

In my case it was easy, I was in Australia for an onsite job when I started writing a travel blog. Once I had written 30 or so posts each having 500+ words I was immediately approved. If I remember right it took me 3 days for getting their nod.

Are you making any amount with your travel blog? I an getting low CPC for one of my travel blog and the traffic mainly comes from UK, US.
What is your average making per month from your travel blog? Any other income either from affiliate programs or direct ads?

I discontinued the blog due to low traffic, no income from Adsense and the CTR, CPC is very low.

I have been writing since a long time but did not consider to have my own blog until couple of months ago.I am still in the process of monetizing my blog. Having said that I have been making money from writing since a long time

I also have a blog but it's fairly new so I haven't monetised it yet. But I'm working on it. Someone here said that it took him about 30 posts with about 500 words each article. Thank you for that information! Now, I know just the minimum posts needed and the minimum words per each article. This can surely help me in monetising my blog.

I know of a few bloggers who now solely rely on their blogs as their main means of earning salary. I just hope that one day I can be like them. I know it's possible but kind of difficult to do if you're not passionate enough and don't put enough effort unto it.

It's not easy to make money from a blog but it's not impossible. One reason many fail to make any money is because they choose a saturated niche and if they aren't committed competition will see to it that they make no money.

I saw this on a forum and though I don't intend to use this method to make money maybe someone might find it helpful.

Here goes:

You'll start with some research. Find a micro-niche with little or no competition at all. Step #2, create a blog on blogger.

Do some keyword research and find all the long tail keywords you'd like to rank for and create a number of articles. This should get you a little traffic from search engines.

Once that is done, find blogs in that micro-niche and post a number of comments on those blogs. These will also draw some traffic to your site. You could also promote your blog on forums and social media networks.

Done? Place your affiliate offers on the site. And go create another. Rinse and repeat.

The author of the article claimed that after a little while you'll start making at least $1 a day passive income from each of your sites. So if in a year you can make $50 such sites, you could be making $50 a day. Not bad if you ask me.

Thoughts?

I had plans of creating a blog not really for earning but for the fun of it. However, I also did a research on the money-making side. My planned blog is about pets, particularly dogs. I was advised to get into pet forums and gain connections. When I launch my blog, I would have a ready-made audience. Now, for the money-making part, enroll it in Adsense so you earn credits when people check your blog even if they don't click on the ads. But I have no idea of how much you can earn because it depends on the number of viewers that you have.

You can make some decent cash promoting pet related products on a pet blog. It so happens that many Facebook users are pet-lovers and one pet blogger I know gets most of his customers from Facebook. So depending on how you promote your blog on social media even if you don't make much money from ads, you can still earn a decent amount of money from referral traffic you get from Facebook.

All the best!

For getting traffic is ok with your tips, but do you think all the traffic will be converting into $? I have promoted my blog, but the traffic remain normal and it won't make money even from adsense.
You have said long tail pro keywords, but do you know how to rank for such keywords?

Traffic does not guarantee $$. You will earn money only if your ads are clicked, offers are completed by visitors, or product or service is purchased. Having said that bigger the traffic, chances of ad clicks and product purchase increases.

That's why you have to choose a micro-niche with little or no competition at all. If there are only five or so blogs you have to compete against then even if you know nothing about SEO as long as you use the long tail keywords in the articles you create, you'll still be on page #1 of the SERPs.

One can't find out unless they try. If selling products doesn't generate any revenue then a blogger could try plastering CPM ads on their sites. If one sites gets 20 visitors a day and they have 100 sites they could make a little money from their sites. $1 a day maybe = about $30 a month. Not bad if you aren't updating the sites.
