Currently, base on my experience and knowledge the lowest investment business that can bring long-term ROI start doing freelancing on Fiverr, Upwork, and Freelancer.com, those are free to start almost no investment needed to start.

When you do affiliate marketing you need little investment like creating your own blog (hosting fee for 1 year), then you will need to learn how to drive free traffic to your blog so you don't need to spend money on ads. If you can make it work with free traffic then affiliate marketing will be super profitable for you. If you choose eCommerce it will be more challenging the capital needed will be higher.

So start from Freelancing and Affiliate Marketing, both of them can be done through the internet.

Among the list of freelancing site you listed here, when it comes to publishing my work to make money, is fiverr and freelancer.com etc. I find those two friendly than upwork.

My experience with upwork never been successful at all. That's why I dropped them from my list of freelancing site. I use freelancer.com to post samples of my previous translation works. To match clients choice of sample, in order to win a translational project.

I don't think it's a good advice because sometimes you can't really start a business without investing, and the low you invest the low your chances are to make thnigs work out
