It depends on the quality of wood you want, then if you want to get it on a much cheaper rate, you need to go where it's been cut so you could buy directly from there.

Construction woods actually differs in price and they actually takes difference in terms of prices , shapes and other considerable factors that I actually know about , this is exactly what I noticed

Wood is so important for construction, it is used in most cases. The price of these wood varies depending on the quality, type and amount you will be using. But it is less expensive compared to other construction materials.

Comstruction wood is mostly used for roofing and to make door frames. It may cost about 0.3 dollars for a 2x2 hardwood, 2x3 0.38 and 2x4 0.45 dollars.
I think these prices cannot easily know by an ordinary human being, you need to have little knowledge about construction in order to know the names of some of their materials. The prices always varies in difference countries and will never be same.

i believe wood is truly important , because there are most times that without it the person can't construct what he or she want to construct so the woods are more important no doubt during construction

In my country now, the most expensive part of a building is the roof. Rafters used in the roofing of a building is very expensive. It is now about $5 for a 1 meter length of roofing wood.

My dear friend, I see that you are from Kenya (Africa). I was wondering if in your country, tree protection is implemented, so that no trees are cut down.
Thank you.

Did you say that roofing is less expensive than other aspects of a building? That might be true for your country though it is not true for mine. In my country, it is the second most expensive part after finishing of the building. So many buildings that are incomplete in my country are at roofing level and they are abandoned because the owners can't afford roofing.

Forgive me but may I kindly ask you how you are so precisely informed about each type of tree? Excuse me but do you happen to own land and grow trees? I'm asking because I think I've already met you in another ptp forum.
Best regards Alessandro (Italy)

The reverse is the case in my country. Mahogany wood is the most expensive kind of construction wood. It is what is used to make exquisite furniture and part of the vitals for roofing. A 12 feet length of mahogany is about $3 in my country. Plywood is more affordable since it's usage is limited.
