Bathroom or rest room is one of the most important parts of a house and it should be clean and tidy and the taps should be working properly because even if one tap is slightly loose it'll make the whole bathroom dirty by making the whole floor wet and with dust coming from shoes it'll look like a mess so better to keep these taps in perfect condition and make arrangements for necessary repairs and replacement whenever required.

One of the tap in my bathroom is leaking drops of water and I'm Planning to get it fixed as soon as possible.

Yes, it is definitely not their fault because the inflation is increasing. When the inflation increases, many people try to avoid hire servicemen like plumbers or electricians because they have a limited amount of money to spend in order to hire such kind of servicemen.

But the fact is that their services are sjat we cannot do without. There is no alternative to plumber if paradventure we need to fix our bathroom.

I think the installation of bathroom tap is relatively cheap in Pakistan. It can be installed for just Rs. 300 or less if you have the ability to bargain. But you have to give him pick and drop service and you have to find him in your area for installation.

Yes, it is cheap. However, as the government has raised the price of petrol, we should never expect people to charge low amount of money sooner.

I don't even know why government is trying to be increasing the price of fuel this time that people are still feeling the brunt of inflation.

No matter what work it is plumbers here charge on a daily basis including his assistant It should cost around USD 20 even though fixing a tap may not take a full day.

What can the people over there be fixing it themselves? This may save some unnecessary cost. I think the money is somehow costly except to get it over there is somehow easy.

It is one way to provide a living for these people. Also it is possible they may collect other work the plumber could do for the money that he will be paid for the day.

Do you think its easy to do that? Are you able to fix your bathroom on your own? You need tools and experience to do that, yes you can learn but will you have time to do that after your day job to learn and these accessories are expensive so we better get it done from an expert

There are still some things I can fix in the bathroom myself. I could remember when my shower got spoilt. I fixed it myself. Not easy but can be done with dedication.

There is no standard price generally. But it seems there is a body in each country that always regulates the price of these handiworkers. They always make sure they don't cheat on people

there is actually a price control body ,they actually make sure that people are not taken advantage of interns of price , although if they charge at the set price you could bargain

Normally, a seller will want to charge more than the set price, it is the buyers that will try to bargain. That's why it is good to have be aware of the market price.

yeah the buyer have to do everything to bargain so he won't be cheated ,they believe that if they put it at the usual price the buyer might actually price it lower

That's the logic. The only issue I have with sellers is that if the buyer bargains higher than the market price. They won't tell him. They will let him pay higher.

They will look at the work too and don't ask any price like that and we can take an estimate from them of their wages and also about the things required like tap and other raw material that they use while fixing the tap
