As per Cryptonews, the World Economic Forum publishes a report regarding the possibility of Blockchain technology to help combat the widespread corruption issue. Titled "Exploring Blockchain Technology for Government Transparency", the report explores how Blockchain can offers several unparalleled qualities and capabilities. Currently, this concept is being tested on a publicly funded school-meal program in Colombia, where corruptions run rampart for years. The trial utilizes Ethereum-based blockchain to record all transactions made for the food program. Considering the strong cryptography, transparency and tamper resistant natures of blockchain, this could greatly reduce corruption all over the world.

But as most corrupt officials are in the government , and if they know about this and effects on them they are sure to deter it from happening or making their government to adopt it by all means

Fair point. Not much we can do about this sadly.

this have to be done secretly

There's no way to apply this secretly since politicians have many eyes and ears all over the place.

Hopefully this tech can be implemented first in area with less corruption and then expand to include more area.

This is a good idea, but I sincerely doubt if this will completely or even barely curb corruption, as it is caused by certain people. This is a good initiative though.

Well, it's possible to minimize the corruption plague some countries have if this tech is to be implemented even in every government systems. The problem is how to make politicans accept it since they're mostly the ones who's doing corruption in the first place.

Any technology or innovation that will bring transparency in government activities is a welcome development. A transparent government inspire confident from the govern.

A really nice development from block chain to curb corruption from governments, I hope this initiative works out as it will make government more accountable and transparent to it's citizen.

Most government officials do embezzle millions and convert it to crypto which is hard to trace, so corruption may not be fully reduced through use of blockchain

This is a good initiatives but do you think that government will want to adopt and approve something that will expose their deals ? I doubt that .
I think they will I stead fight against it .

@Josemendez , you may be right because most government are corrupt and it through capital project and the likes that they steal money so most government may not adopt it.

Not all governments are corrupt. Countries like Denmark, New Zealand, Finland are generally considered nearly corruption free. This tech can be implemented in those nations first.

Let hope it for them in those countries and we hope other countries will emulate them so that life can be more better for citizens.

If actually they are nearly corrupt free , what's the point of implementing the program ? .
This program will only be feasible in business where the owner is not the one handling the business.

Because it's more efficient, modern, more resistant to error, and faster to process data since there are still countries that use outdated tech to process data.
That's true indeed . technology changes with time and most developing countries are slow in adapting new technology .
I believe with the rate of things now , blockchain will soon get general acceptance.

The block chain technology is for both corrupt free and corrupt Nations, though it will have much to fish out in the corrupt countries but makes transaction faster and efficient in corrupt free countries.

If the blockchain technology eventually succeed in this project, different international unions like AU, UN, EU and the likes can be used as tool to ensure countries comply.

United Nations, European Unions and many other international organization are no better than some of the most corrupt governments in the world. The officials there will prevent this tech from being implemented.

I love to be very positive about any project that will be beneficial to the masses , challenges are inevitable for they are products of testimony, it is better they get it launch and advise the international body for compliance, it is until they didn't implement that I will believe they don't want otherwise let give a chance.

Well, ya, it's good to be positive and optimism but the reality is harsher than that. We can't change anything with just positive attitude, hope and dream. That's why we have "A wolf in sheep's clothing" idiom that means something that looks nice outside but rotten inside.

If blockchain technology is allowed to work effectively without any influence I am sure it will eradicate all forms of corruption in the system but the willingness is the question
