Go Transcript is yet another transcription company that hires people worldwide to work as transcribers. The company is based in the UK, but it hires anyone worldwide no matter where you live. All you need to do is take an audio and video test for the company and pass the two tests. If you fail the first time you are given a second chance to past these tests. This sounds like a great site. I like that they accept people from worldwide and they do not require any past experience. I also love the fact that they pay weekly through PayPal. I will check on the site and see how it works.

Yes it is legit. I have tried it but it's quite hard because you really need to be attentive and you have to be a good listener. Some words are just hard to understand. I think it's a skill also that you can develop overtime and as time goes by that you are doing it, it's going to be easier for you. The more you do it and become experienced, the more it becomes easier. Not all are for this type of field. Some just don't have the patience to do it.

When you join any transcription site the best thing you can do for your self is to invest in a good headset and a foot pedal. This will make the job so much easier to do. You won't need to try to start and stop the tapes with your mouse or keyboard. This way you can concentrate on what is needed and the job goes much faster.

The company seems to be legit, but transcription work is complicated.
Hence, sometimes users are not able to complete the task efficiently.

Recently I came across a transcription website called GoTranscition, I am still a newbie on the site, I have read and understood their clean verbatim PDF but before I proceed to the exam's section, I would like to get some reviews about the site from people who have had some first hand experience on it. The site looks legit to me but a mere glance on its structure cant fully justify whether it's worth my time or not.

yeah that problem face me anywhere, anything professional work that you can get from it 1000 dollars oblige some countries especially U.S.A, they can register on all the sites

True, I don't know why but tier 1 countries have a higher potential to earn online than other countries

Tier 1 countries do get the best jobs, the funny thing is even if you are from a tier 3 country but living in a tier one country you get all the benefits. This is especially true of pay per view article writing sites. People from tier 1 countries get paid more for the same number of views. Annoys me all the time.

yeah same thing for me, let's work and focus on what available for us (we don't have another chance ) but i hope that problem will end in the near future

Wow, I never knew that they discriminate against people based on their location! I'm glad I decided against trying for it. I was really interested in working for the site but heard that they sometimes reject you not because you've failed but because they may not be taking on people at the time. I didn't like that at all because how are you expected to know if you passed or failed?!

Sadly there are many sites that only accept tier 1 country. It sucks but seeing the quality of work of some local freelancers I can sort of understand why. I have proofread many local translators work and I hate to admit that the quality is not worth the payment. Either they charge low and give you shitty google translate quality or they charge high and direct translate the whole thing, so the context often don't makes sense.

Yes, it's legit and accepts everyone. But having done transcription work, I wouldn't recommend it. These sites expect you to transcribe very poor audio files. And don't be deceived by the hourly rate! A 10-minute audio file can take hours to transcribe, meaning you end up being paid a fraction of the rate - if that!

That is what I have also come to learn about this transcription sites. The audio files are poor and can't be heard well, it uses up alot of mobile data and time then you earn so little that it cannot compensate the amount you have used to work.

I think I saw another thread about GoTranscript and it is legit. I am still reading about transcribing so I can join this site

Have heard about online transcribing alot, and I believe some paid why some did not, , Am just hearing about Go transcript here, we will wait for people comment before jumping into conclusion about them.

Wow, you work from your phone using mobile data?! That would definitely eat up your data very fast! It's a shame you can't do it offline. Isn't it too expensive to use mobile data? Mobile data in my country is so expensive it's unreal! Would it not make better sense to work towards paying a monthly prescription towards unlimited internet, even if it's like 1-2 Mbps?
