So as I'm sure everyone already knows, GoDaddy has a one year $12 hosting + free domain deal. It's pretty nice when starting a new site because not only does it allow you to start a site for virtually nothing but it also means that if the site fails then you haven't lost much.
But the problem arises when your one year is up. You're going to be paying around $5 a month after that. You could just create another account and transfer your site, but who wants to go through that every single year?
To be honest I think iPage is probably the best long term option. I've used them for around two years now to host one of my sites and they're great. You can get $2 per month hosting which is great.
So do you think it's better to just start off with iPage (or Blue Host, Host Gator, etc.) and pay the extra start up fees?
Or is the $12 start up worth the extra moving work you'll have to do a year later?
