What If I Don't Have A Skill To Work On Freelancer?
This one of the most common excuse someone may give to himself. Well, there is no excuse for you. You can work on freelancer even if you don't have a skill yet. Here is what you need to do.

Chose a particular skill that you intend to master. It could be graphic design, logo design, creating mobile apps, whatever your choice is.

Then go to YouTube and search for the particular skill you want to learn. I can guarantee you that you will find awesome free videos to teach you that particular skill and you can become a master in short time.

My Suggestion
I suggest you take one step at a time. Don't try to learn all skills at once. Chose one, and chose one particular software to help you with that. Find videos on only that particular skill and the corresponding software you want to use for that, and master it in and out.

For example, if logo design is your choice, then you can chose inkscape software as your main software for logo design. Find helpful videos on this, there are many of them out there. Master logo design with this software perfectly and build up your portfolio well with many examples of what you can do.

This shouldn't take you more than 1 month if you are serious. Then sign up on freelancer.com and start applying for jobs with confidence. It woun't take much time before you land your first job, and once you do that and get a good rating, more jobs keep coming with less effort.

I can recommend you Freelancer.com

There's over 6 million projects and over 11 million members. They can't be scam... or can they?

Supposing you want a coder to create from scratch a software for your upcoming online business, budget is not an issue which of the following freelance boards would you chose?

Freelance? Elance? oDesk? Other? (please name it while you reply) Thank you! ;)

After a successful project with an Freelancer programator I vouch for it.
Price wasn't that cheap but I guess you get what you pay afterall.

I work with oDesk for a long time. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend them to anyone out there looking for best freelance boards.

Freelancer is the best marketplace when it comes to hiring freelancers at cheap price and finish projects successfully in a matter of days.

freelancer.com is the best. I hired many times their logo designers and php programmers to get my scripts done.

Everyone is on all sites, even the buyer or seller, but just the site fees is different, some freelancers stay active where they get lot offers. I was been a member for all of these sites, but my favorite was Odesk as Im getting some good projects from there.
I applied at freelancer site, and the buyers never accepted for being a part to their project.

Well I prefer freelancer since its very flexible and easy to use and bidding option is something which I love. Instant chatting with clients another awesome feature.

There are really so many projects that are looking for freelancers. You can find many of them on the Internet and there you can earn some serious money!

Upwork and Fiverr are another boaards that you can try for marketplace jobs. Be aware that those are likely to be low paid. So they may or may not earn you enough. And you may have to focus on the earning consistently. I know it's not easy but you have to start somewhere that's for sure.

From my experience as a seller and a buyer, I would recommend to avoid fiverr. Upwork, guru, freelancer are decent places to start although sometimes it would be a good idea to aim to your potential employers directly.
Can you clarify the meaning of 'aim to your potential employer' ? Does that mean you recommend to directly contact the organizations directly. Thank you.

Regarding freelance writers, I think you will find better deals on several sites like problogger, listverse, writerbay, etc, than on upwork and the rest. Of course the demands are higher but the payment is very attractive.

I agree but often people can't start from the local market. The reason being the freelance market is being low paid locally. And it can be painful to see how the freelancers get exploited on both online and offline. As you can see that some of the time freelancers are not even easily getting paid. So if online sites work out that can be good enough on many grounds as well.

I'm looking for freelance boards, can you guys recommend me best paying ones, reasonable commissions.
try fiverr ,peopleperhour, freelancer and many other sites. you can find alot of site on google. I suggest find top 10 sites and chose which you like and work on them. you will definetly get orfer if you post attractive GIG on fiverr.

I would like to recommend fiverr and upwork as well. They are very popular freelance boards online. If you are just starting out, consider applying for your gigs at fiverr.

Upwork is strict right now, because they require workers to pass their assessment before starting out real jobs. But, at fiverr, you can start doing jobs right now, but the problem is their are lots of competitors out their. Now, promotions comes up. You might want to promote your gigs online to invite more clients to ask for your service online.

The reasons we failed most times with freelancing is lack of passion and drive.it always good to ask for online freelancing boards but the question is,are we ready to work it out.Well'if you're ready you could check out:
Fiverr,upwork,freelancer.com,just5k,gathercontent and odesk.com.
