Facebook - Anti Social Network or NOT?

It has become more dangerous, not just anti social site. Recently I deleted my account, but few months after someone created the similar account using my email and his real photos.
Spending life on Facebook is more dangerous to people as it is causing a lot of problems in families and divorces too.
Mark Zuckerburg and his employees never take care what was happening to users.

That video just made my day. Thank you for sharing that, I.C. That was powerful, and totally true. You know what? I'm going to post that on facebook today and see what people say about it! I wonder how they'll respond?

I wonder if I will be blocked for 30 days again and not allowed to communicate with people that I know for telling the truth if I do?

Not only are is Facebook an anti-social network, but they want to control who you can talk to and interact with.

That man speaks the truth.

I don't think facebook is antisocial network. If you are sharing too much you are under risk, however, as long as you remain private there is nothing harm. It is true that there is danger of being hacked. But there there is always danger even if you are not on facebook.

Its amazing how spoken word artists always seem to be such realists. Personally, I just got bored of Facebook so I rarely log in to anymore. Not only does it affect personal relationships, but it also affects people's health by causing them to be unusually inactive, glued to their devices. In some cases it even contributes to poor posture.

I do not spend much time in Facebook, but less than five minutes. This virtual world sometimes appears like a venue of photo shoot for the younger generation and many people reveal their life history. I hope as long as we do not expose our personal details it may be somewhat safer. But I don't have trust on it. Anything can happen at any time. There is no guarantee for our safety.

To be frank I have a Facebook account too but I don't share my life there, maybe once a month a picture at most, I use Facebook for managing multiple Facebook pages and drive traffic to my sites, I've also used Facebook ads to increase likes at couple pages.

I rarely use Facebook. I only use it to chat to someone once in a while and if not, I really don't waste hours looking at my newsfeed. I just get frustrated because I really don't care if one of my "friends" went on vacation, had a baby or had an enlightening experience because some family member or something fought a disease or something. That's great, but people share too much and it's like....share this with people close to you, don't spam everyone you know with it.

Every post someone makes on there has subtle hints of selfishness and just wanting to brag to people.

For me it's all a matter of how much you use Facebook and exactly what sort of information you give out on there. Facebook itself isn't the problem, the actual platform is safe and fun to use, it's people that have ruined it.

Social media as given a voice to the unstable nation and while these people have always been around, these days they're more vocal than they ever have been.

What a wonderful video, thanks a lot for sharing. It is really a thought provoking one and definitely an eye opener. He is right, we fail to enjoy precious moments and this beautiful nature in our efforts to capture them in a video or image. We need to realize that we are missing an opportunity to enjoy that very moment and there is no retake in real life.

I use to spend a lot of time on social networking sites earlier, but once I am into other things like forums I can hardly find any time for that. Now I have to think twice before being imprisoned in a social networking kind of setup.

Every word he spoke is reality, we have lot of time spending on imaginary things that we could have spent on welfare of society or cause of uplifting the poor. And we call it social media. I am lucky I have no love for such social media sites but I use them for different purposes.

Facebook is both anti-social and not depending on how you view it. On the brighter side it enables one to stay in touch with family and friends at a low cost. On the darker side it exposes you to cyber insecurity. Your account can be hacked and your information can end up in the wrong hands. Most crimes are being committed with the help of facebook. Also facebook hinders productivity and also in developing personal skills that is needed for one-on-one conversations.

Facebook is slowly becoming a very very powerful social networking website. My opinion is that it depends on how people use it. If they are looking constantly for approval from others or exposing themselves to the public then it may be bad for them at some point. There are, however, some interesting pages on Facebook dedicated to nature, animals and well-being like 'Music for deep meditation'.

Everything the guy said here in this video is true.

Anyway, Facebook may have connected people and get socialized virtually, but it is robbing off time and opportunity to socialize in the real world. Like whe. You are supposed to be communicating while in an event with your friends. But everybody is looking at their phones updating on Facebook or Twitter and sharing where they are which sounds insane.

I don't think facebook is antisocial network. If you are sharing too much you are under risk, however, as long as you remain private there is nothing harm. It is true that there is danger of being hacked. But there there is always danger even if you are not on facebook.

I would like to believe that was still true. It used to be true, because you could enjoy your privacy and conversations with others on your own terms. Now, they are trying to control who you talk to, whether you can speak to them, who you know, what you are allowed to sell, and anything else they can do to infringe upon your freedoms. I hear there are many alternatives that are better, from forums to the Russian version of it that does not control what you do or say and allows you freedom. It is something called Vkontakte, or vk.com.

For business, I usually prefer to be on forums like YpayZ since everyone is here to share knowledge and make money, whereas social media is everything mixed together and not always professional. If you must choose between Facebook or VK, I would choose vk instead. The artist in the music video makes a strong point, and not just facebook but in general. When people become too connected and too attached to their technology, they become detatched from the rest of the world and living life, enjoying time with family, friendships, and nature.

Let us first accept the fact that most people are judgmental or prejudicial for that matter. To evaluate Facebook as to its role to society or people may be geared to several factors. Being anti-social in the business point of you, the Facebook users are being exploited and Facebook has served the venue for such activity. I don't think so. And in the point of you of entertainment, education, among others Facebook has a lot of things to share for good.

The good and the bad of Facebook is too dependent on the purpose of the user. Lately, I have read that Facebook doesn't allow private person to promote or sell guns and Facebook is able to control it.

Anti social or not but I believe that mushrooming social media sites are taking full advantage of people participating on them to the limit of addiction sharing so much that is making big money for the site owners without having to share any revenue. I wonder if some of these people sharing so much will ever learn the value of their content?

I wouldn't actually call it a anti-social network as it does help people socialise and pass their leisure time and it has numerous benefits too like the educational groups which have posts related to studies, awareness groups etc. but yes, excess of anything is bad and so, is the case with facebook. It should be treated as a social networking site and people should not get addicted to it.

... people should not get addicted to it.
It is good for you for you can control yourself. But what about those youths especially students, teachers are some of those Facebook users who couldn't live without the Facebook. In my case for example, everyday and even every night, I am always checking my news feeds, my messages, my tags, among others. I couldn't miss them. Does it mean that I am also addicted to FB?

facebook is great social site that we can connect with our friends, family and with whole world under the same banner.I don't said it is to be anti- social network. Somehow many people are misusing it, so it is going bad for society.although if we use in proper way this is best social site all time.
