China is getting closer and closer to the release of their digital yuan and as this process is coming to fruition a trial stage has to be implemented to test out the system and its usability. In a recent article there is a total of 40 million yuan (digital currency) that is being distributed to the residents in Beijing in order to test this concept. This equates to roughly 6.2 million dollars. What are your thoughts on this?

The concept does sound very similar to that which we do see in new cryptocurrencies. I think it will be in trouble in deciding how people actually use this digital Fiat currency especially because many people will have difficulty navigating through this technological payment system.

I think there must be a lot of awareness campaigns about the digital currency because I could guess that the government would have taken into consideration how new the technology would be to the people.

They would surely engage more in promoting the digital currency , because they know that the constant promotion of the coin is for their major benefits

They have been speaking about this currency for a while and it has been in the works for the better part of a year so i am sure they must have had advertisements with it as well.
