The DNC (Democratic National Committee), the campaign committees for Democrat candidates, is planning to return more than $1 million that was received in donations from FTX.

Public Suspicions
However, the public is seeing this as a hoax and a political whitewash plan because there is no indication to whom they will return the money or from where they will collect the money to "return" it? And because $1 million is a very small amount compared to the total donations received by the candidates.

Democrats are trying to prove a pointless point. They are simply try to wash their dirty linens on the streets. FXT crisis is still under investigation and any reasonable person should avoid making unnecessary remarks that will make the public to become suspicious of you. Now, many people are saying that Democrats have something to do FTX, that they Democrats need to give the society more explanation.

Politicians will do anything during an election period to gain the support of the masses. This is even worse because the amount is so insignificant compared to what people lost on FTX and it would feel like they are taunting them.

This is not really the next step. They should find out what caused the downfall first before trying to play to the gallery. To whom the money will even be returned to? Do they have data of all those traders that lost their money in the scheme.

i mean if they received any donations from FTX and knowing it was probably the people's money and that many people have lost money and they received something unfair.. they should also be investigated if anything why they even got any donations at all.

You won't be too quick to judge them. Anybody can give you donation and it is not even proper to be questioning the source of such donation. They have done the right thing by wanting to return. But how will they know the rightful owner is the puzzle.

they wouldn't know the rightful owner at all. they will just simply return it to the one that gave it to them because their names will be dirty by having any affiliation with a company that made a lot of people lose their money. they must know donations means favor. that's why they don't want it now

I'm sure this decision got a lot of crypto enthusiasts and FTX critics to talk. How do Democrats want to mix politics with the crisis of a mere exchange.Secondly isn't the timing of the Democrats to return money worrying since it is just after FTX insolvency, why not wait until things ease or why not return it quietly

No one is returning. Politicians have told their supporters that the contribution they received from FTX was a donation. Donations are not returned. They will have to be taken to court; otherwise, they will avoid making such unfulfilled promises.

FTX and its officers were estimated to have donated $93 million to politicians and political groups, according to lawyers. when it filed for bankruptcy after traders pulled $6 billion from the platform in three days and rival exchange Binance abandoned a rescue deal.

This news is old, and democrats never returned anything. Party even made a committee to make Democrat Congress person to return FTX donation, however, there is no news what happened after that.

The authorties probably put them in their hard wallets where they are safe and after a decade they will start using it this is the way the stronger countries take advantahe of the los income countries by taking their money and earning from it .

This is the reason I might be a bit skeptical about the entire SBF trial. But he is a good swindler though. He also made strategic political donations with his loot to protect himself. But I am sure it so obvious and even the powers that be cannot save him now.

yes he can not people who play politics in any buisness with normal people should never be forgiven they should be given a solid treatment only this way we can make things better actually indeeed for normal humans.

I'm not sure if they will turn anything because if they do it might be indicting especially that ft x is still under investigation and what is assurance that if the money is returned they won't go back doors to get it again.

exactly money is one thing everyone wants to have more and no one wants to return it only good people do and when you talk about orgamizations they are always greedy and they never want to return because they know that earning it properly is difficult.

Judge Sentences FTX Fraudster Bankman-Fried

finally, scum bag fried brain gets sentenced to jail. hes got 25 yrs. he should have been sentenced to life without parole. now he can become somebodies prison bit+ch. hopefully he doesnt get sent to a cushy fed vacation prison.

send him back to serve his time in the bahamas.

Although some people are saying that sentence is lenient, I don't think so. I believe he got served an ideal punishment for the crime he commited. It is a fairy tale how he went from a crypto industry poster boy to a crypto fraudster.

I perfectly understand you. But is not better than manipulating the whole thing and he works free? Trust me. That was a possibility. With 25 years incarceration, he is as good as wasted for life. Happy that he got served.
