There are many sectors in businesses. Each sector has its own merits and demerit. When we are in a making of a business in any particular sector, we need to chose our audience carefully. There are different people with different needs. Our research should be on the people who can be our potential buyers in near future.

It is better not to waste our time in wrong audience. We need to have a clear idea about our product as well as the need of the buyers, so that both of these can complete each other. And for that, a detailed and careful survey about the audience and their needs should be carried out.
 
This is a very good advice, Every business has its specific audience, so if you market your goods and services to the wrong audience that is why some complain of not getting customers, make research on the right audience for your business, and how to attract them.
 
A friend is promoting his food products in his Facebook account. He said that he has only a few customers when he has more than 4,000 friends. When I checked his friends list I saw that majority of his friends are foreigners and for the locals they are in far flung provinces. That means his audience is not the good ones for a local business.
It would be a good idea to form a group for locals who like the food he has. He can educate and entertain using the food and he will get more people coming from afar.

A good businessman or woman knows he or she must do a market survey in the area, locate the target audience, try investigate to know If they are willing and ready to patronize the business when setup.

Very true in most cases I used to feel very sad whenever I had a bad response but then I realized that my time will come and I need is to put in quality work and be patient.
