Hello! I have heard a thing that sounds stupid, but ifit is real, why are so little people doing it? does cost much?

I have heard you can BUY your OWN ATM and you keep the fees.

Also if any EU members here, can we exploit something equivalent? I think this is a great opportunity.

That is if it is true. Is it?

I have barely heard about this. It does not sound totally ridiculous though because sometimes these charges attached to atm cards could be really annoying. anyone done this? I also think it might be a little costly.

It's more like let's say you have a DrugStore, you sell legal *********, but for some local lw the buyer MUST pay cash.
-He must withdraw.
You could actually "BUY" That atm, the bank will continue to put money in but you will be the one keeping the fees.

That's how I understood it works. However yes, it will deffinetelly be costly macchinery.

This idea doesn't work here, all the ATM machines are belongs to the bank itself, no individual can buy or own a ATM machine in that way. Imagine who will deposit money for the buy to withdraw cash? You or the bank? Why the bank must go thru your machine since the banks make the money out from the fee most of the cases.

This is actually a strong point. The bank would never find some other ATM. Unless you link some sort of mega business that will find the machine.

Did you read it somewhere? Because if this is possible, you can get some extra cash. But like @tiada said: they belong to the bank, so getting the fee's and the bank get's just nothing, that's too good to be true. Maybe it's possible to rent an ATM for your store but it will be managed by the bank itself. If the bank would pay you a commission on it, that would be weird. Because the bank is delivering a service for you and your clients so they can withdraw cash without walking a few meters/km's for an ATM.

I didn't read anything "official" or credible, just a guy on another forum showing off.

It is purely an american thing at the moment(atm lol ) That's why I was curious.

It is weird, but I kind of understand. Basically where I live if you withdraw from your own bank ATM no fee, another ATM very hogh fees. With this method the fee is around +2-3$ and the bank fees stay.
It's very weird.

But as I aid I have no idea if it is actually true.

Haha! Thanks for the information. It's really a news to me. To me, I won't take the risk. In fact, we are not being charged for any fee for withdrawing money from the ATM machine under same bank except we are using other banks' ATM machine, than about USD0.30 per transaction.

WOW That is cheap!!!!!!!! Here in Italy the fees depends, but the least I've seen is 2$ and the biggest ever was 20$ that aswell when withdrawing from another bank

It is really a baseless news and I do not believe in its viability at all. I mean how can you buy a ATM? Where will you keep that machine? How will it work? Lots of questions friends! If you can give me answers then well and good otherwise, I wasted my time.

Well that is good but i never think that such service are real for sure its like saying you want to build a bank inside your house that may be impossible but rather you can go to bank and come back .
Atm is one of the costly machine on the internet and offline and i think goverment dont regulate such usage at all and if it world be possible then some micro company will love to use it.

I dont think that this is possible at all atm can only machine can only be mounted in a front of a bank premises i never heard any individul owing an atm machine i.

But some individual now are making budget towards such progress for me personally ithink that its a waste of time for us.

I have never heard of individuals owning ATMs and keeping the fees for themselves. It's not something I've come across here in Nigeria, where I reside. Maybe it's something that's specific to certain regions or countries, I'm interested in learning more about it, though.
