Popular celebrity and rapper Kanye West announced in a recent tweet that he will run for 2020 US elections for president. Kanye is widely known by most people, having around 30 million followers, and he is a big supporter of bitcoin and other decentralized technologies. People are quite excited to hear this news and he even has the support of Tesla CEO Elon Musk. This is definitely good news for bitcoin and I don't want Trump to be president again, to be honest. What are your thoughts??

Imagine making a celebrity who knows next to nothing about how politic or managing a huge country like America work. What next? Make an UFC fighter the economy minister?

I have seen this news on almost all sites today. I hope he will be able to make the mases happy by seeing to all pleas and the betterment of the economy.

Well, him being a popular doesn't actually mean he'll win, as the priorities will be given to someone who's into the domain of politics and stuff .

Why not? It can't be worse now. Just think of Trump, both Bush's, Nixon, Johnson, Reagan, etc., all of whom were either corrupt, simple idiots, or had other issues

Sure, but americans have their own mysterious ways of thinking :Wacky: regarding elections, so be prepared to unexpected :Woot:

Yeah. The problem is the US is so huge anything it does somehow affecting the world in more than one way. So, it's certainly not just Americans' problems.

Well, i believe it would be completely unfair to have him as a president, being president isnt based on how cool you are, you are responsable of the fate of a lot of people, it's not a game

You're right. BTW, I don't consider him no way as "cool", as he has violent and unpredictable personality, probably caused by his psychotic problems. So to say, having a psychicaly ill person as a president is the last thing they should americans elect. It's enough that they have this moron Trump now.

Unfortunately, we all have to cope with every american sh*t.

Oh well, at least it's not like that Communist Bernie. My gut feeling tells me he'll drop out before long. Wonder if this is just a publicity stunt to make him even more famous.

When I read the news, I thought it was a joke... and I still think it might be. We don't need another joke president. I really hope whoever wins this time will actually do the country some good.

To stay on topic, if he does win, what could that possibly mean for BTC and other crypto since he's a supporter?

More people will adopt Bitcoin I suppose, and if he really wins then he may support the development of bitcoin in the US even further. But seriously, kinda hard to see him win.

Yes, hope dies last. But, you know, Americans are ... Americans, so they will surely vote for someone who is really dubious, and it will be the greatest election show ever (in the worst sense of the word). :Roflmao:

It might be for the fame not for the office because there is clear difference between political popularity and entertainment popularity. Politics also go beyond money and popularity.

Just heard that Kanye is also a guy with anti-science stance, he believes that vaccine can cause autism. What a joke, hope he doesn't get that votes.

Really? I don't understand this sort of thinking. At a time like this, with so many people dying from the virus, it is critical that we do everything we can to help reduce the number of infections and deaths and these stances will only confuse people even more.

Yeah, I read it on some news site. Even Elon Musk retracted his support for him earlier. A lot of People in America are no longer believe in their government, that's why they invent crazy new theory like vaccine cause autism like that.

Kanye doesn't actually have a chance to win because he has missed most deadlines to be on state ballots and he's running 3rd party, which means he doesn't have the support of the political machines. If he really decides to campaign he could certainly have an impact on the results of the election.

Sadly it's no longer just a rumor. Many people are believing it, including parents.

US isn't the only country with governmental problems though, I mean nearly all countries have their own problem with their governments. But for America they take it to the next level.
Science is based on skepticism. Most vaccines children are required to receive are entirely untested. Furthermore, bill gates's organization has a history of causing problems in africa and India. I think it's only logical and wise to question what goes into your body. I've heard that vaccines include cells from aborted fetuses and mercury. also, with the increase in child vaccines has come an increase in SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). Bill gates has been openly speaking out in favor of eugenics / population control for decades. Now he is very outspoken in favor of a covid 19 vaccine. You don't have to agree but certainly you can see why people are skeptical.
