Personally, I use Lightworks - the paid version has been used to edit high-quality movies such as "Bruce Almighty", "Pulp Fiction" and more - see this spotlight page. They also have a decent free version, free forever - while there are a few features missing from it compared to the full edition, and you need an account with Lightworks, it is still very good and remains my favourite video editor after several years of service..

Camtasia is not really great. If it serves your purpose, and for many people it will, then there's nothing wrong with using it. However, it doesn't offer the same level of fine-tuning that more professional programs such as Premiere Pro, VEGAS, Lightworks, KDENLIVE and many others can provide. Also, from what I've seen of Camtasia, it seems ridiculously overpriced - their lowest price (for education organisations) is £160 for just one license.

Personally I use Adobe premiere pro and AE and thats my fav too and for beginners I would suggest movai very easy
and Kinemaster for mobile users

I personally like Movavi very much. I was lucky enough to get it for free during a promotion and I must say it has impressed me with it's user friendliness and easy editing options. I'd recommend it to anyone.

there is also video pad editor witch I use all the time and the video's come out pretty good I am getting back into video editing & will be updating my service thread with those services/skills as well.
