In the recent months in France, there were a lot of stealing cases of Tmax bikes (made by Yamaha), once the Police did the investigation, they found out that they were being stolen when turned on, which means the robbers already had some kind of access to the activating key.
After several researches they found out that there's a box called "Electronic Case" that costs from 400 to 1000 Euros that's doing that.
Yamaha said that it knows about this already and t hat Tmax 2020 isn't securised and they are trying to implement GPS to it.
If you have a Tmax or know someone that does, please warn him to install a GPS or atleast park his Bike in a safe place that's visible!

Yamaha should quickly implement a solution to prevent this from happening in the future. But then, this pandemic may have slowed them down.

What's funnier is that they already know about it, but they are like "oh, cmon this bike costs only around 10k € nota big deal", let's hope there's a patch for that

So there is actually some bug that could make a scooter prone to being stolen? Yamaha should attend to that swiftly because security should be uppermost when dealing with products.
a security bug at general that makes the bike not immune to that electronic box, yamaha already knows about it, but i don't think that there's anything to do about it since those bikes are already sold to many buyers around the world and there is no way to refund the bikes back to the company
