It's been reported that Twitter's God mode admin panel was active and it was available to 1,000 users, and that may have been the reason for the recent bitcoin scam and hacking of accounts. Those who had access to the admin panel were using it to post bitcoin scam messages and reading other users' private messages. It's very unfortunate to see that Twitter doesn't maintain its privacy and security like it used to before. Hopefully, now Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey will find a solution.

The hackers bribed some inside employees to help them gain access to some of Twitter's internal tools when the hacking happens. Twitter need to monitor their workers better.

Have to agree with you 100%. It may not have been an inside job but surely, the Twitter officials play a role or two there to aid the hackers. Very sure a lot fell for that scam that followed.
