Aptoide is a popular store that's offering google play store apps for free, it got its database few days ago leaked and released in public, more than 20 million users data was uploaded and made public for users, if you were one of the users, then you're most likely a piece of cake for the hackers to attack you, steal your data, spam your inbox or even use your data to login in other websites ( in case your login details are the same) .
If you are a user, then hurry up and change your login details in the other websites that you share the same login details with .

Some credit cards that belong to some local banks get blocked once an automatic transaction tries to occur, so that's less damage, also changing the password would be a plus thing to do, and yes the website lost its reputation now

Whoever leaked it released it in dark web i guess and it was shared, you might use the same login details in some other website thats why you have to change it

Users should saw it coming since this site is basically a download site. Still why the hell they need to register on the site? Most download sites don't require you to do that. But knowing that, hackers stole about 250,000 gmail accounts each weeks just shows how vulnerable some system is.

You might as well send out fake news about how your account got hacked/database leaked, luring you to check your "hacked or not" status by entering your email there, while in reality that site's only purpose is to harvet your email.

I don't use this site but I hope those affected have read this if not here but on the internet to act swiftly. Hackers and scammers are not smiling at all these these days. So one should be very careful.

Thanks for the information, although I got it late. My credit card had been bypassed and I don't know how such glitch in the site and how people got to recover their hard earned money.

i wouldn't trust a source that destroys devs efforts as well, there is no need to make an account, just like in popular platforms such as mediafire

you can't really judge the quality of the website unless you're in the same domain, as a consumer you can't really know because they will be always offering you what sounds 'fine' for you

as i see it the wrong way that cna the site go is taking your emails and send you some spam, but the site is a big comapny because they have softwares when you try the site they tell you buy their softwares to protect your password and other thnigs, I guess it's a big company
