Scrap magazine is looking for writers to send them articles which they pay $600 to $1000 depending on the quality and length of the piece. They also accept illustrations and pictures too where they are paying from $500 to $1500 per piece.

Sounds like a good opportunity huh? If you could chat about scrap and write an article on it have a look at these guidelines and submit your piece. They do have staff writers but they also publish pieces from freelance writers.

I checked the website but I did not really get how it works. IT seems there is subscription fees and there are types for subscriptions whether US companies or US government organizations, and there is subscription for worldwide. Did anybody register and can give more information about the site?

This is a legit get paid to write site but I did not sew one payment proof. I did read some of the first few replies here and I figured it was part of some changes Mr. B made to the forum in 2017, but it wasn't any payment proof that made this legit.

Anyway, I also did read this pays quite a lot. This must require a lot as well from a writer. Anyone recently tried this one?

I think they will only pay the writers who will be selected to get published and those will be a very few and that makes it a very tough competition

Yeah no, i don't buy it, $600 for a single article is absolutely ridiculous, there's no way this could be legit unless i see TONS of people getting payment proofs from it, like where does the websites gathers all those money ? Ad revenue only ?

Really?! This to me is 100% possible because I've seen many writing sites that pay that sort of rates AND MORE. I mean, one that comes to mind, although I can't remember the name of it, offers $1500 per approved article. With sites like that, however, the standards are understandably very high so it's no walk in the park. Conversely, it's not easy to get a foot in.
