Hello, Guys! As I was browsing my timeline on Facebook I came across this site this is a mining site which you can get paid by getting idle! And i must say that there are some people getting paid for it! You just need to mine with your Android phone or pc and start mining with an open browser.
And they also give a bonus of
$4.94 in every new member joining their site.

Is that already your payment proof? I have seen negative reviews about it on Facebook groups, some of them who joined the site got their wallet accounts hacked. I haven't seen payment proofs over the internet so far and the site has 0% trust rating. I think gonna have to pass on this one.

I just started yesterday so as of now I still haven't got a payment proof on the site. Once I get I'll posted here that's for sure. I'll just try this site if it's really works and there's no harm in trying anyway

Why is this site marked legit? It steals personal information, and the bonus of $4.94 upon registration is fake, since it didn't even ask for a wallet address when registering. This is a big scam.

Ouch I just signed up for this was branded legit. What happened???

I'm not sure why this is marked legit. This site probably has a keylogger script with it when running in your pc, or some other malware that could bypass computer security since you allow it to run in the browser to "mine".

I follow is simple concept that any site which offers so much of free money for signing up will surely end up in a disaster. It will not be able to stay for long. I always prefer to stay away from such sites.

Is that so? Thanks a lot for making all of us aware. What can be the ill effects of any site with this script? Can you please explain your point in detail? This will help me and others to stay safe from this site as well as from others with this so called keylogger script.

Basically a keylogger script logs all keystrokes you make while the script itself is running, including mouse clicks. If you would enter sensitive information like usernames, passwords, credit card information and such, the script can send the logged keystrokes to a server, which the hackers can use to compromise you. It doesn't matter if the focus is outside the browser; a keylogger can still log keystrokes outside the script caller's running environment. Worse, the script may be copied in your computer's all-user startup directory, making the source of the damage harder to trace later on.

Omg....really.... Is this so easy? I'm really thankful for this valuable piece of advice. But, how do we detect any such script in a program? Is there a method for a person like me to detect it?

Having an updated antivirus software is the primary line of defense before visiting any website. Mine has Avast, and it automatically blocks such scripts from running and isolates it before a malicious script does anything.
The difficulty of creating and deploying such a script is proportional to how deep into the target system you want it to penetrate.

If you have a secure and good anti virus system uploaded in your system then the fear of virus attack is left behind. As far as slowing down the system is concerned, it will be inevitable. If possible try to keep deleting all the unwanted files every now and then.

I already tried that one, I used same details in my freebitco.in account. after a few minutes lets say 30mins my details on freebitco.in have been change the password and btc address.

Turn on 2 factor auth. Just need an android phone.
Also Keepass or lastpass can be very helpful since there are so many sites to register on.

I agree with you budd, this site was all over my newsfeed for almost a week but didn't see any payment proofs. Then suddenly, one of my friend posted that it is a scam because its stealing information. And yes, her account got hacked and lost her money

With regards to this very site, there is harm in trying. Since the site collects informations and your accounts will be hacked.
