UK companies reveal their capital structure in financial reports, ensuring stakeholders grasp how they fund operations. The structure typically mixes equity and debt, following International Financial Reporting Standards.

Equity breakdown in financial statements covers share capital, reserves, and retained earnings, detailing ownership, dividends, and equity changes.

Debt, like long-term and shortterm borrowings, is separately disclosed in liabilities. Companies specify borrowing terms, interest rates, and maturity dates, offering insights into their debt obligations forming part of the capital structure.

i think the Companies provide detailed information on their capital structure in the notes to their financial statements. This information includes the amount and type of shares issued and outstanding, the face value of each share, and any changes in the capital structure during the reporting period.

There are two special sections in the financial statement of UK companies that capture the capital structure of the company without the company explicitly stating it in the financial statement. The first one is the Loan notes which captures all the loans the company is financing.

The other section is the section that reports Share Capital and Reserves. It shows how the business funds from shareholders.

The equity structure of UK companies is disclosed along with details about the quantity and kind of shares issued, share capital, reserves, and retained earnings. This data aids stakeholders in comprehending the ownership structure of the business and its capacity to raise further funding.
