It's possible to earn a little extra while sharing your computer's spare resources. One such option is Gomez PEER.

They use your idle resources to help test the performance of various websites and are willing to pay you a little in turn.
It does this by running a Java application silently in the background. I haven't noticed any performance issues on my computer since using the software. It doesn't pay a lot (I've only got $0.16 on my account after two weeks), but I can't complain as it requires no effort on my part.

I also happen to have my computer on a lot so I might as well get a little extra from its running time. On the down side, they won't pay you until you're accepted as a user and this can take a few months. They use PayPal, minimum amount is $5.

Why is there no information at present about this program, are they still paying? I read the whole thread about the program. While the passive income that the program provides is enticing, I feel it is a rip-off as their approval period seems to go on for an indefinite period of time and what's even worse is, we don't get paid for them using our resources while we wait for the approval status. What if they come back and say that we are not qualified to work with them after a couple of months? what happens to all the resources they made use of during that period of time?
