Hi everyone,

FluidStack is a cloud platform that serves websites from a network of consumer devices (instead of large data centres). We save websites money, and put unused hardware to good use.

Sponsored: BeerSurveys.com - Earn 10$ per Day doing Tasks, Try Apps, Complete Surveys.

We are looking for beta users to run FluidStack nodes. This means installing the software and leaving it running in the background. The software will detect when your device isn't being used, and then it will use a small amount of your bandwidth and CPU to test our network and serve web content.

The requirements are a good internet upload speed, a Windows desktop computer, and uPnP. We pay between $5-$50 per month (more for better internet speeds) to have the node running. If accepted, we guarantee a flat monthly payment amount.

Payout amounts have all been updated now. These get updated again at the end of the month, so are not final, but are a good indicator.

We've now added compulsory minimum online times, so a lot of laptops that people have been running it on have been disqualified.

If your payout shows $0 and you weren't expecting it please get in touch at [email protected]

Does that mean that I cannot use my laptop at all anymore and is the minimum online time per device or per cluster?
No, you can still use a laptop, but it would need to be online for a longer amount of time. It's mainly to combat people installing it on a laptop that is rarely turned on, and claiming $5.
The online time is calculated per device.

hi i already enabled upnp on my router and can't install fluidstack, what's the problem? I need to configure manually?

  • You need to check your ISP allow all port or not
  • You need to check firewall on Router and PC
  • You need to try manual config forward port in router
  • If your ISP block not univeral port, You need to contract to ISP for unblock port and allow unknonw port
  • Keep sure your router / PC allow incoming connection you can test on website example https://www.google.com/search?q=check+port

Hi,
When I tried to install fluidstack node on my Windows 2008 server machines, the installer pop up an error message: "update.exe ... is locked by another process"
Please help

When does FluidStack start to consider your computer idle and start to run? If I am running a mining program on my GPU will it still run? Also how often do the statistics reset? The number for my data usage on my laptop has not changed in a few days even though I have not touched it at all. Thanks for the help with this.

I installed Fluidstack on my pc and I have a high-speed internet connection. Right now it shows that my payout will be 50$ and I hope it's true. I guess we'll see at the end of the week.

How much internet traffic does your app produce? I have a VPS that comes with a 1000 mbits connection, but it gets throttled to 100 mbits upload if I use an avg. uplink of more than 100 mbits over 9 days. Could I still get the $50 this way or do you constantly require the full bandwidth? Also how is it determined if the device is in use or not? Could I still run other applications on my server (VPS has 20 GB of ram and six cores)? What is the minimum online time?

Thanks!

I think they don't accept VPSes right now and are working on a special solution for VPSes or servers in general.

Yes, I read somewhere that a solution will be implemented with the new version, which should be available soon. I hope I'll get a reply to my questions.
