It is pathetic to see birds and dogs being kept in cages. In some cases the cages are so small that they can hardly move around. Pets need to live a normal life and a normal life is when they can move around freely. No doubt one has to make arrangements such that they do not leave one's house or the property A strong boundary wall is required so that pets do not leave the property. Dogs kept in small areas tend to be wild and bite every one that they can lay their teeth on.

Pets should be treated as family members and that can happen if they mix around with family unleashed.

I have seen birds likewise kept in cages without giving them an opportunity to fly around And this is cruelty. I also saw a bird at a hotel sitting on the Reception desk as its wings were clipped. What can be more cruel than this?

What is your opinion?

Hi, I have never kept my parakeets in cage, they are just like my kids. They fly in my whole house. It's really cruel to put them in cage or cut their wings etc

Keeping pets in cages goes against the idea of treating them as family members. They should be allowed to mix and play with their human family without any restrictions.

I don't see a per dog kept in a cage ever here. Yes, that's very cruel when someone keeps the pet in a cage. Freedom is what is required by everyone. How cruel it is that the wings of a bird were clipped so that it may not fly.

Last year, I have two dogs that I have to keep in cage because I'm living with people. There are many people in my apartment, and I don't want the dogs to be disturbing them. So, I have to keep them in cage. Not giving them much freedom really affected them, so I have to sell them. I won't buy new one until i move spacious apartment.

Thats really bad that you had to do like this it is right that you are making sure that others are not disturbed but still i can feel for the dogs who had to adjust with an new owner indeed just because of the situation .

Pet birds can bring a lot of joy into a home and are not very expensive to be chosen as pets. Of course, I am talking about parakeets, love birds and other not-so-expensive birds from the parrot family.

A smaller bird will cost less in every part of pet ownership, cheaper cage, cheaper maintenances.

Having a cat as pet do not really need putting them in a cage , cats are one of the well behaved animals to have as a pet as they are neat and do not litter the house.

Yes you are right they are sophosticated and they like to remain clean everytime and so do clean their babies every time the best thing is that they can help you avoid loneliness and also can make you felt happy indeed .

It is important to provide the animal with regular opportunities for exercise outside of the cage. It's also essential to keep the cage clean and provide adequate food, water, and enrichment to promote their well-being. Ultimately, the welfare of the animal should always be the top priority when considering its housing needs.

You are right we should always try to take care of them in the best of ways indeed actually and we should always make sure that we are trying our best to upliftthem as well everytime we can so they feel at home

I don't do pets but to me i don't think keeping pets in a cage is a good idea. Pets are adorable animals that we love to be around with so why put them in a cage? Animals that need to be put in a cage are wild animals that are dangerous to the society. Tho some pets are dangerous and need to be put in cages.
