Code::Blocks
is a well-known compiler IDE for the C and C++ programming languages. It is one of the most used compilers worldwide and it is said to be one of the best for compiling and testing programs written in these two programming languages.

How were your experiences with this compiler? Would you recommend it? Why? Why not?

I have used this IDE with MingW GCC. And after that eventually moved to the Visual studio C++. It seems to be a good ide for those who want to make use of the GCC. And it can be good considering the free IDE there that is what I have learned as well.

I've also used Visual Studio C++ for two weeks or so and I can't really tell considerable differences between these 2. The only thing that pisses me off with Code::Blocks is the "undefined reference error" which doesn't even come from my code and it's basically just a random error :Laugh:

I used Visual Studio for some while but it's not free and it's expensive for small projects. I never tried Code::Blocks but I come back writing desktop app, I will try it.

it is worth trying, I didn't see big differences between them. it's just that Codeblocks gives a random error once a month :Laugh:, but except that I find it even faster and easier to use

Is it free version of Codeblock? If it is, error is way that you or buy paid version or give up using free version. Some publisher use that trick.

it is free of charge :Thumbsup: and for a free solution I have to admit it's a good one :Laugh: and what do you mean by error? I didn't really get what you mean

You write in post above that it gives a random error once a month so I'm thinking that is in purpose. Seems we have thinking about different error.

yea, perhaps. I was talking about when you compile a program, that sometimes it just gives a random error when compiling it even if you wrote it correctly and have to restart the app or stuff like that. Codeblocks is free, so they have no reasons to limit it

GCC and Mingw based compilers are still in action.And they seem to be doing lot better too. I am sure that in near future thigns may surely change. I am not sure how the codeblocks may remain for years but it;s a good ide.

i'm using this and i like it for many reasons , one of those reasons is that it has the integrated compiler , so you won't have to install it separated , also , once building the code , sometimes it gives you a hint where the error can be

This is literally the best existing code writing software because it has a coder and a compiler all compiled in one software and it is so easy to use, thank you for the review .
