Rishi Sunak will become the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in the next few days. On September 5, Sunak lost to Liz Truss in the competition for being British Prime Minister, but after 45 days, Mrs Truss resigned from her position. This has made some cryptocurrency market experts to be optimistic about the UK's approach to this market.

Sunak became the British Chancellor of the Exchequer in early 2020 and announced his support for the cryptocurrency market:
My dream is to make the UK a global hub for crypto assets. We will gain the confidence of crypto companies to invest in the UK based on the conditions we will provide to investors. Britain should always be at the forefront of technology.

I do not think that just because a single person supports Bitcoin, it would help bitcoin at all. Prime minister holds one of the highest offices, but i think that the whole world and major whales must dive into the ocean of cryptocurrencies before they could actually raise the value of cryptocurrencies. @Wisdom01 @btaliat @Potuse

Sunak has truly been supporting crypto sikce his assumption as British Prime Minister, but I doubt the acceptance of crypto by the British Government. Britain has always want to be a conservative country which doesn't always like changing status quo. However, I may not be surprised if the current economic quagmire make her to change her stand on crypto.

I just hope that the Prime Minister of the country could play some role as it is really crucial to adopt bitcoin and adapt to the conditions that support bitcoin. There are many investors who have had invested in Bitcoin and they are still hoping for the capitalist to witness another circulation of cash in the market.

It is often better for the countries to dip toes into cryptocurrency. Before the bearish market, we saw so many countries throw their weight behind cryptocurrency, and we saw so many countries making moves to deep tools into cryptocurrency because they knew the potential that was embedded in adopting the cryptocurrency.

The British Prime Minister was supportive of crypto in his former position. But it takes much more than the office of the Prime Minister for UK to legalize crypto mainstream. With influential people like him supporting crypto, the dream for crypto to go mainstream is on a sure positive move.

In the end, there was not much movement in the country regarding cryptocurrencies and their regulation, but despite all that, England is still one of the most crypto-friendly countries in Europe, and I think it will continue to be so in the future.

Like I said before, it takes much more than the office of the prime minister to move a country to adopt an initiative, much more an initiative like crypto which most governments consider a threat to the financial systems of nations. It would take time for the regulatory framework regarding crypto globally to be developed and adopted.

He can support it as much he can but until entire goverment (I think on both home of Lords) and banks it will not help much to crypto market. Also they have problem being be outside of European Union. If they didn't go out their companys could work easier with rest of Europe. Now they must request special permits and licenses which slow process.

Them being out of EU would really expedite the crypto adoption if they want to. What I see is that UK recognizes the place of crypto in the new world. But they are taking their time to ensure that it's adoption is properly done. We still have to wait for ample long time.
