Bitpay Reviews.jpg

Bitpay is probably the oldest and trustworthy wallet which you can use for payments through Bitcoin. Bitpay wallet allows you to pay on different websites (which have implemented on their platform the system of Bitpay) with Bitcoin which is automatically converted to fiat and sent to the owner of the website.

Bitpay is good both of clients and merchants. Companies can accept bitcoin very easy and receive their funds in fiat and they don't have to do any work since all the process is handled by Bitpay. Merchants don't even have to know anything about bitcoin and how it works. Clients can easily pay with Bitcoin on my websites only by paying a very small fee, all merchants have a 1% fee and of course the Blockchain fee necessary for bitcoin transaction to be confirmed and that's all. Other services online can charge up to 10% fees for this kind of service and that's why I recommend you to use bitpay if you want to buy something online using bitcoin.

Bitpay exists on the market since 2011 and during this time tens of thousands of merchants have been implementing it for their company so that clients can have a more convenient payment method with lower fees. Bitpay processes about 200.000 transactions every month and it is estimated they receive over 1 million dollars in payments every month from customers. This fact makes Bitpay, probably the biggest payment service with Bitcoin existing.

Bitpay features and advantages :
- multiple platforms: mobile (iOS, Android, Windows Phone) and desktop (Windows, Linux, Mac).
- multiple accounts: if you need multiple accounts, for example for business and personal use you can do that within a single wallet
- user interface which supports multiple languages and displays prices in over 150 currencies
I've been personally used Bitpay wallet over 10 times for different payments and for transferring my bitcoin to Skrill into fiat and everything went smoothly. Only about 2 times I've had a small problem with transaction not appearing in my wallet but that's because I didn't receive one confirmation so I can't complain about that. I have also tried other services of this type and I can tell by far this is the best one you can find since there is no doubt you can trust it. Bitpay is not going to ask you to verify your identity, you can receive any amount of bitcoin you want, you can apply any fees you want for your bitcoin transaction so it's great and I recommend it if you need it.

Quick answer? Bitpay, because it has no transaction fees, the payout process is slightly quicker, they're specialized as a Bitcoin payment provider and it can be integrated with other solutions, as well (like Paypal, Shopify, Lemonstand and many more).
However, we can expand that a little:

Coinbase is also an online Bitcoin wallet, and has over a million users, meaning the payment process will be somewhat quickier for the ones who are already using that: however, it's up to you to justify (or not) the delay non-Coinbase users would experience (it's not much, so it's a completely personal evaluation). Also, apparently, they're trying to push users into trying their wallet throughout the whole payment process, which may be annoying for some people: this might also translate to less anonymity, even though it's a minor risk.
Bitpay, on the other hand, although currently less common, is spreading at an always faster rate, meaning it's earning more trust as time goes. Also, the integration process is easier, as there are multiple ways to implement it on your website: you can use code (it supports PHP, Java, Python, C# and many more), plugins (even with Drupal eCommerce or WordPress eCommerce) or, as I have already mentioned, you can integrate it with other solutions just by linking your Bitcoin account.
Also, another thing you should keep in mind is the BC-USD change rate, which is usually higher for Coinbase (meaning your users will have to pay more Bitcoins, even though you would still gain the same amount of money). It's constatly varying, though, so check it out on their websites.

So, in the end:
  • Choose Bitpay if you want quick installation, an already tested payment method and an overall higher average payment speed, plus more anonymity.
  • Choose Coinbase if you think the advantages for its userbase members would outweight the slight slowdowns non-Coinbase users would experience.

I am always for Coinbase. This is definitely my favorite wallet for keeping money. I love tihs wallet because there are many options there. We can see how much BTC we have, how much is that in dollars. For how many percentages BTC risen or fell since last month. I recommend this wallet to everyone.

I am using coinbase and it seems to be doing good with the reviews. Though they have few account closure issues. And they seem to have other rate change issues too. But it seems like bitpay is not bad. Coinbase is adding ehter and litecoin too. So you get 3 wallets in one. So can also create multiple addresses. And that seems to be making money. It'd be reasonable on that point as well.

Bitpay is more popular I've found many good sites supporting bitpay as a payment solution like steam (games platform), never heard of coinbase.

As far as i know Bitpay used for many trusted store, but coinbase are mainly used by most of get paid to website (some faucet and url shortener). :D

I know of coinbase since I have never used bitpay though I do see it aderts on crypto sites. You can try using coinbase if you value security and accountability because they're good with that but transaction fees,it a bit on the high site,so you decide if you can manage that.

Which merchant processor is the best for starting accept Bitcoin at my online business?
So am i correct and these walletts are just like having a pp acct. to get paid with? Just that there are so many and pp is just one company? So we choose one wallett and get paid say our bitcoin all in one place correct?

As a merchant you will like them since they offer a lot of merchant tools just copy and paste them on your website and you can charge bitcoins to your customers. You can even charge bitcoin locally even to a neighbor using these tools.

This wallet is still giving great services, no problems. They will bond with new partners next month and you can adjust your fees as well!
