The $8 million hack from the DeFi WEB3 BitKeep wallet has shaken the crypto world again.

The hackers are believed to have created the fake app, and APK package, now the BitKeep team has urged users to transfer their funds to official wallets. For this, people must download apps only from official sources.

Right now, people are not understanding anything. People neither able to trust the centralised exchange nor their wallets.

That's really some huge amount of money there. Phishing apps targeted at crypto users is gaining grounds. I think they might have gotten access to the main platform for them to target users. Users believed it was the official wallet and got scammed.

Definitely all these constant hacks and others would obviously put more fear in. the mindset on those those are actually looking to invest in the exchange platform , I hope they actually get to find solution in this trying times

Yes people are really skeptical these days to wherever they keep their crypto tokens. With all these hacks, scams and other unpleasant events, crypto has become a wild jungle where anything can happen.

Yeah certainly lots of hacks have been going on and others , it's only the offline and cold wallet that seems to be the best way to store cryptocurrency obviously , many are now more scared of investing on exchange platform

They should really invest into a tighter security in their platform. and there should be a way to identify this hackers and make them go to jail and possibly recover what they got from hacking.. sadly it rarely happens and the hackers are rich enough to pay the bail

One thing many exchange platform needs to start placing emphasis on is actually on security ,like they should place many things in consideration that would develop the platform with the string security measures placed into consideration

yeah.. like it wouldn't hurt to put a lot of. security as a user of exchanges although it may be a bother i wouldn't mind having to do a lot of verification just so my money is at the safest. they have to make sure that there is no holes where the hackers can enter

The exchange platform really needs to make sure they put a tight security ,I also believe that in some exchange platform it's the security that are actually there that should be able to help the platform

That is so scary indeed. When phishing apps are used in cryptocurrencies, a lot people could lose their money. You send crypto to a wallet thinking it is the real one, only to lose your money. It is really best to only download apps from secure sources.

I am sure this will surely made some people not to involve in cryptocurrency. When a case of scam happens in cryptocurrency, the fear of the average crypto users is that crypto is full of scammers who are only looking for the newbies to scam.

I think the hacker must have gained access to their Official platforms to be able to do that. People must have gotten the information about the update from a reliable source that made them down the phishing app.

Its very worrying that the issue of hacks continues to make headlines in the crypto space and it comes to crypto platforms putting less emphasis on security. These are some of the problems slowing crypto adoption as it discourages people from investing and it gives critics what to say

Bitkeep has ever since the hacking occurred started making sure they keep their wallets secured by making it very necessary for the users to use seed. Aside this, to reduce the rate at which we may fall into risk, we need to download from the reputable source.

I heard about this Bitkeep hack. It was really pathetic at the time as $31 million dollars worth of crypto was stolen. That experience further highlighted the need to download crypto wallets from official channels not to lose your funds. If your device doesn't support the app on the official channel, don't bother downloading from third party apk sites. It is crypto wallets we are talking about and one has to be very careful with it.

yeah it's really so scary , there are lot of phishing app out there , that someone should be careful with when they particularly want to run their cryptocurrency dealing , sales and others , they should always be alert

use exodus wallet. plain & simple. exodus rocks !!!!!!!!!! stop storing your cryptos online in some exchange. if you dont store it on your computer or offline, your money can go bye bye at any time. then theres nothing you can do about it. just remember ftx exchange & bankman fried head or what ever his name was.

funny how ftx & bankturd is no longer heard about in the news. he was found guilty. its like if something isnt in the news, it no longer exists or happened.
