I answered surveys a long time with yougov and was never paid. It is an absolute scam. Why are there so many people on here saying they were paid?

I have never been a big fan to survey site because a lot of restrictions to my country, but is good to know they well in USA and Canada.. I have tried and got no answer why some countries are preferred than others

I am sorry that you have never got paid by the site. Do you always receive any surveys from them?

I have been paid by YouGov for 3 times, hence it's not a scam site. I have also not heard from my friends that it's not paying, so I also don't think it's selectively paying too. You can see many payment proofs from this thread.

i have less survery

This website does pay, when I first joined it offered a lot more surveys and things to do than they are offering right now. I honestly believe it all depends on location and what is available in your area. I have also noticed when I need to travel to the US the opportunities are a lot more than when I am back home. Like @Analise said that you need to be fast when an email arrives. The surveys do fill up fast. You can also check the site from time to time just in case the email that was sent to you has been filtered and you don't receive one.

@kaka135, just wondered in what dollar does YouGov paid you? It paid me in Singapore dollar which I don't like, it still sleep in my Paypal account now.
Just received a survey on Mooncake festival worth 120 points, YouGov like to send over survey on festival which I like it as it's simple.

Hi. You can always convert currencies in Paypal. Well, I still don't reach the minimum withdrawal. huhuu. so sad.

If I am not mistaken, it paid me in SGD too. When I received it, it asked me whether to keep it in SGD or convert it to MYR, I think I just converted it to MYR.

I didn't receive the mooncake survey. Hopefully I'll get it soon too. I like that YouGov surveys are always about what we are experiencing, such as the local events or brands.

Yea right, YouGov surveys are very good ones. How frequent do you reveive surveys anyway?

they pay in Singapore dollars, although they base the amount on US dollars. the amount in Singapore dollars was actually a little bit more than the $20, and makes perfect sense. had they converted to US dollars, they would have paid paypal something, and then when I change to pesos paypal would get another cut. paypal takes about 6% whenever you can over, because their rate is so bad

What's difference if we convert the SGD into local currency said PESO first before withdrawing, rather than choosing for PESO when withdrawing payment from Paypal into our local bank account?

nothing really, but what yougov is avoiding is converting from Sing $ to US dollars and then we convert to pesos anyway. so paypal gets their forex fee twice
when you withdrawl from paypal in the Philippines so you can avoid additional fees, as paymaya charges 50 pesos extra, and God only know what the banks charge now for that

Which country are you in? Different versions of Yougov may work differently...

I got paid last week. Found envelope in post office box, removed giftcard, went to Michaels, bought US$40 worth of yarn for $26 on sale, used $25 giftcard plus $1 in cash. That's why I say I've been paid.

Yougov US is now offering transfers directly to bank accounts. I don't recommend this, but they'll do it.

My question now is why will survey site affect wasting the users site they will little or will not even pay at all.
Secondly why is some country with high survey chance whereas others have low survey chances ?
