I've been a member of YouGov for a while now, and I've managed to cash out twice, so £100. The trouble is that it takes so long to build up the amount of points before you are able to get your money. I get maybe 3 surveys every week that are worth 50 points each , so just going off that you can see it's going to take quite some time to make it to 5000 points.

Roughly speaking I think I've been on the site for maybe 18 months, so £100 in 18 month isn't really classed as a high paying site, but they are genuine and they do pay if anybody else fancies giving it a go. Just don't expect to get rich!

I hаvе 5000 pоints , but dоn't sее аny оptiоn tо саsh оut аt this thrеshоld. Fоr mе thе ассоunt pаgе sаys, "Yоu hаvе еnоugh pоints fоr аny оf thе fоllоwing itеms in rеd. сliсk tо rеdееm…" аnd nоthing is in rеd sinсе thе сhеаpеst itеm is 20,000. аt this pоint, I'm thinking оthеr survеy sitеs (оpiniоn оutpоst fоr еxаmplе) аrе bеttеr.

I'vе bееn а mеmbеr fоr а fеw mоnths аnd оnly hаvе likе 12,000 pоints. Thеy sеnt mе аn еmаil а fеw wееks аgо аsking tо dоwnlоаd yоugоv pulsе, аn аpp thаt trасks intеrnеt асtivity. I dесlinеd аnd hаvеn't gоttеn аny survеys sinсе.
If yоu dоn't mind rаndоm pеоplе hаving соmplеtе ассеss tо yоur dаtа, thеy dо givе оut 2000 fоr instаlling it аnd sоmеthing likе 1000 а mоnth fоr kееping it.

Thanks for posting this thread which got me excited since it is for international consumption. However, that minimum amount of withdrawal is mighty huge and it may take me so many months considering that I am not full time in doing online work. Maybe I will wait for more positive reviews of that site about the withdrawal. I have so many sad experiences in sites that supposed to be earning sites which later turn out to be a hard nut to crack.

Yeah, precisely what I was about to say @Alexandoy, 50 pounds to cash out? That seems insane, and might well take over 1 year to cash out, if everything goes well. This is precisely the sort of site I avoid, as it's a huge waste of time, and most likely we will never get paid.

YouGov is a legitimate organisation and people do get paid, it just takes a long time to actually get to the cash out limit. What I do is if I've got a spare 5 minutes then instead of just browsing online or checking social media I'll do the surveys and not even think about how many points I've got until I get right up there.

If you DEPEND on survey sites to make money then this isn't for you, but for those who do have a spare few minutes then eventually you'll get £50 in your account and I see it as it's just there way of saying thank you for your time, rather than it being a actual money making site.

Thanks for your feedback @pwarbi. I am assuming you got paid eventually by them? How long did it take you to get paid?

That's the thing, in order for me to invest so much time in a site, I need to know I will get paid, because I've wasted some time on dishonest sites...

I've been a member for some years, but I've pretty much given up. It simply took too long to make anything worth redeeming, and I think I only cashed out once, if that. I made a lot more on Harris Poll Online.

I am a member of this site since months and have received umpteenth survey invitations but have never qualified for any.

I even get them through other site and I don't recall qualifying for the surveys ever.

If you have a look at YouGov on Google, you will see that they are one of the most respected survey companies around, and their results are used from everyone from ESPN for the sports polls to the New York Times and The Financial Times for the news and politics so they certainly aren't a scam site and they will pay you.

I manage to cash out from the site maybe once a year, but that's mainly because I don't do all the surveys they send me due to other commitments. If you did every survey and took time to vote on the other polls around the site, I'd say you'd be able to cash out every six months so you're talking £100 a year. Like I said, not a lot, but it's better in your pocket than in theirs and the surveys are pretty short and can be on all sorts of different topics. They're not just a case of asking what you think of a new washing powder or anything as mundane as that!

It's good money, but most likely you get more surveys because you are in the UK. Do they accept people from Portugal?

As far as I'm aware it's worldwide but I can't be 100% certain. I know that the results of the surveys and polls get used all over the world, so I would have thought that to be able to publish those results then they would need opinions from people globally and not just from the UK and the US.

I'm sure that if you try and register on the site it will make it clear if you are eligible for the paid surveys or not. There are polls and surveys on the actual YouGov site as well, but you don't get any payment for doing them. It will though give you an idea of what the surveys are like though.

Thanks again for the feedback @pwarbi, I finally registered and got my first 100 points for my first survey, I guess it was something like a profile. So it's just 4900 to go! :D

Those full surveys as they call them are the only ones that are paid right?

No problem, hope you manage to hit the target sometime in the next 12 months, haha. And yes, the full surveys are sent to you via email and it tells you how many points you will get for the survey. Every now and again there will be a survey that puts you in to a prize draw instead, but they are clearly marked and you don't have to do them ones if you don't want to and it won't have any bearing on how many surveys they send you either. Whether you do the prize draw surveys or not, they'll still send you 2 or 3 point earning surveys regardless.

I joined YouGov quite a while ago but it just didn't work out really. I found a different survey site and because it was much quicker to earn cashouts I used them instead of YouGov. I found out about it from my Dad who used it quite a lot. Unfortunately their surveys can be quite time consuming and I feel like having to reach £50 to cashout is just too long. It just puts you off completing surveys that are extremely long when you know you won't be rewarded any time soon

Can you share the survey sites you use?

I have just signed up for yougov, and do harris poll surveys. After you get so many points you can choose a gift from their 'folio'.Not ******* chandeliers or anything, but it's a bit of fun.

The only one I use right now is I-Say (which I posted about here - http://www.beermoneyforum.com/threads/i-say.326/ :)). They send me surveys every couple of days and they aren't too long either. They will have some special surveys that are around 30 minutes long but they reward you well for the time that you spend completing the survey. The surveys can range from 3 minutes to 15 minutes usually. They have a virtual credit card option to cashout which is what I always get and it is 1200 Points. You can get about 100 points for most surveys which take about 10 minutes.

Here's my simple analysis:

That's cumbersome to get 5,000 points in several surveys done. Imagine you get 50 points for 3 surveys per week. Based on that situation, you can have 5,000 points. That is equivalent to 300 surveys done. How many weeks are there? 100 weeks. If there are 52 weeks in a year, it is almost 2 years to get that 5,000 points.

It's laborsome. It's too taxing. Anyway, there are yet interested persons to do that survey job.
