I have joined YouGov for quite some time. It's one of my favorite survey sites as the surveys are usually short and easy to answer. I have over 4000 points now, hopefully I will reach the minimum payout, which is 5000 points soon.

I'd recommend this survey site to others.

Here's my simple analysis:

That's cumbersome to get 5,000 points in several surveys done. Imagine you get 50 points for 3 surveys per week. Based on that situation, you can have 5,000 points. That is equivalent to 300 surveys done. How many weeks are there? 100 weeks. If there are 52 weeks in a year, it is almost 2 years to get that 5,000 points.

It's laborsome. It's too taxing. Anyway, there are yet interested persons to do that survey job.

That's why I think that people should treat YouGov as a way to pass a bit of time, rather than just do the surveys to earn money. The surveys they offer are topical and you can give your opinion on matters that are happening at the moment, and you also get to see the results.

If you just want to earn money then YouGov probably isn't for you but if you want to earn a bit of money every couple of years doing surveys that are more important then just asking you what sort of washing powder you use, then it might be worth a look.

No problem, hope you manage to hit the target sometime in the next 12 months, haha. And yes, the full surveys are sent to you via email and it tells you how many points you will get for the survey. Every now and again there will be a survey that puts you in to a prize draw instead, but they are clearly marked and you don't have to do them ones if you don't want to and it won't have any bearing on how many surveys they send you either. Whether you do the prize draw surveys or not, they'll still send you 2 or 3 point earning surveys regardless.

Yeah, I've done a couple of them, so I am still very far, but seems a serious site. More, with your recommendation I know it's a serious site, or else I would never join with such a high payout. Surveys are not the best, but when there is nothing else available, it will have to do. :)

I thought about that payout at first before I joined this site, the fact it's on the high side. I have been on this survey site for months I am yet to make a cash out. The surveys are quite of high intellect and interesting, the only worry I have is the high payout threshold.

Yeah, the surveys are interesting, they are not offensive to our intelligence haha :D, and at the same time if we click the link in the next days after receiving it, we have a survey there, so there aren't any qualifying issues. So yeah, it seems a serious company, even if I only have 250 points so far, really far from the 5000 to cash out.

That's the best way to look at YouGov, like I mentioned before. Do the surveys to pass a bit of time and eventually you'll get a nice surprise when you do eventually meet the cash out. Incidentally, some of the surveys that you get invited to are prize draw surveys only, so don't actually credit your points balance but put you in with a chance to win instant cash instead.

I've never won anything from them, and now I don't even bother to do the prize ones, I just do the ones that are point building. I never win anything so I get the feeling I might be wasting my time by doing those anyway!

A friend who has made money online for years has told me about this site earlier today. According to him, it's a very good site and the earnings are real. I'm seriously thinking about starting to use it and see what I can get.

The site looks promising.

Thanks for posting this thread which got me excited since it is for international consumption. However, that minimum amount of withdrawal is mighty huge and it may take me so many months considering that I am not full time in doing online work. Maybe I will wait for more positive reviews of that site about the withdrawal. I have so many sad experiences in sites that supposed to be earning sites which later turn out to be a hard nut to crack.
Good to see you again, Alexandoy. From this page it appears that Yougov works differently in different countries.

I can confirm that it's a legitimate, hassle-free site that pays promptly in the U.S.--but only in giftcards for chain stores! That's not been a problem for me since I'm a knitter and Yougov has paid me with cards from a yarn shop. Others get their payments through Wal-Mart or Amazon so yes, in theory, they'll even pay with food. Actual cash? That option I've not seen.

But, problems logging in, floods of spam, demands for live-contact information, aggressive marketing of other gadgets or gimmicks or sites...never. I've been a member of U.S. Yougov for about five years.

I've been a member of YouGov for a while now, and I've managed to cash out twice, so £100. The trouble is that it takes so long to build up the amount of points before you are able to get your money. I get maybe 3 surveys every week that are worth 50 points each , so just going off that you can see it's going to take quite some time to make it to 5000 points.

Roughly speaking I think I've been on the site for maybe 18 months, so £100 in 18 month isn't really classed as a high paying site, but they are genuine and they do pay if anybody else fancies giving it a go. Just don't expect to get rich!

It took me more than a year of sporadic online activity to get my first giftcard from Yougov in the U.S. After that I've been online more often...points seem to be counted differently here (rules also vary among countries). U.S. surveys are typically 500 points each, and anything but a donation to UNICEF costs more than 30,000 points. The $30 giftcard I've been claiming each time costs 30,000 points, and I've collected one almost every six months.

Your demographics determine how many surveys you receive. Younger people who shop more and buy electronics probably receive more surveys than older people who mostly use what we already have.

I'vе bееn а mеmbеr fоr а fеw mоnths аnd оnly hаvе likе 12,000 pоints. Thеy sеnt mе аn еmаil а fеw wееks аgо аsking tо dоwnlоаd yоugоv pulsе, аn аpp thаt trасks intеrnеt асtivity. I dесlinеd аnd hаvеn't gоttеn аny survеys sinсе.
If yоu dоn't mind rаndоm pеоplе hаving соmplеtе ассеss tо yоur dаtа, thеy dо givе оut 2000 fоr instаlling it аnd sоmеthing likе 1000 а mоnth fоr kееping it.
That I've never seen...and hope I never do see!

Also, in the U.S. Yougov collects minimal data; no demand for a live phone number, and no demand for even a post office box until you're ready to tell them where to send a payout.

It looks here as if Yougov has different rules in different countries.

Thanks for your feedback @pwarbi. I am assuming you got paid eventually by them? How long did it take you to get paid?

That's the thing, in order for me to invest so much time in a site, I need to know I will get paid, because I've wasted some time on dishonest sites...
For U.S. Yougov, at least, I can affirm that you will get paid. (I let one giftcard be delivered to a store's open mailbox out on the street, and since I asked that the card be made out to "Cash Customer" someone apparently saw it and snatched it...cards have arrived promptly in my P.O. box though.)

The only one I use right now is I-Say (which I posted about here - http://www.beermoneyforum.com/threads/i-say.326/ :)). They send me surveys every couple of days and they aren't too long either. They will have some special surveys that are around 30 minutes long but they reward you well for the time that you spend completing the survey. The surveys can range from 3 minutes to 15 minutes usually. They have a virtual credit card option to cashout which is what I always get and it is 1200 Points. You can get about 100 points for most surveys which take about 10 minutes.

Thank you for sharing the survey site. I would like to participate in those short surveys, as many surveys are too time consuming. I will check out I-Say soon.

I have joined YouGov some time ago, and finally made my first redemption. Among those survey sites that I have joined, I think YouGov surveys are quite pleasant - not too long and not boring, hence I am always happy to complete their surveys, though it might take some time to reach the minimum payout. I just work on the survey whenever I receive any invitation to my inbox, so I think it's fine.

I just checked, I join in July last year, so it took me less than a year to reach 5000 points.

I love this survey site too as the length of surveys are very short normally. It took me about 6 months to reach 5,000points for converting into SGD25 as I am located in Asia Pacific area.

How long did it take you to receive the payment? I have requested my first payment from YouGov for quite some time, but I have not receive the payment yet. Well, maybe it is because of weekends, I will need to wait for a few more days.

When did you request for the payment? 2 weeks ago? I heard some member complaint about the payment term, but I felt comfortable with it. I requested in March, so can't really recall how long it took. I think the company might have set a pay day per month or per certain time interval.
No worries, just wait for another few days.

March? U.S. Yougov would have mailed it by now.

This is my favorite paid to complete survey site - YouGov as the surveys are usually short and interesting to answer. The format of the surveys is not too boring too. Minimum cashout is SGD$25 (5000 points) to PayPal.

I joined last July, it took me less than a year to reach my first payout as I am not always active completing the surveys. I will be more active. :D

This is my first payment proof:

I have got my payment from YouGov. I guess it takes about 3 weeks to process the payments. I redeemed in 16 June, and I received my payment in 4 July. Though it takes quite some time, I am still happy with it, as long as it pays (and not wait for a year!!) :D

Glad to hear that you have received the payment, it considered fast paid since only took about 2 weeks to receive it.
The bad part is the members have to bear the receiving fee.
Let me check my payment details for comparing the fee later.
