This was a fascinating video for several reasons, I.C. One of which is that it's Charlie Chaplin here playing the role of Hitler. He was known mostly for making silent movies and never spoke, yet in one of his only speaking roles...he made one of the most profound and touching speeches ever on the silver screen.

What's interesting too is that there were people in the government following him around after this, because they thought that he might be a communist or wanting to support what he was acting out in the film. He really was that good of an actor!

The speech is powerful, and I heard that he ad-libed much of it, too?! That's incredible if so. They say that some of the best performances are unscripted, and if that is the case, then this is clearly one of those times.

As for the message itself of people having the power to make this life free and beautiful, I really have to question that these days since money and power are controlling the sanctity and liberty of life more than people are now. I would like it to be how he says in this video, but as long as man's thirst for power is stronger than his kindness and benevolence between it, I don't see how it will be possible if future generations lose the desire to be philanthropic, kind, or generous over their thirst for power or corruption that leans in their favor.
