SEC member Hester Peirce made a statement for the first time after the lawsuit was filed. Pierce says XRP could be a security, according to the Howey test, which is considered a method of securities detection. She states that the first hearing of the case will be held on February 22, by giving a date.

For investors in ripple, our hope is that ripple stays strong throughout the case.

Since SEC has finally issued a statement, we expect to hear from ripple soon too.

SEC member Hester Peirce made a bad prediction for XRP with her statement. If XRP is considered a security, it will be a very bad thing.

There is a little time left for the case. But apparently this case won't be limited to XRP alone. I recommend that you follow the market news carefully.
