It seems that the SEC may in fact be planning to file a lawsuit against the ripple (XRP) crypto company. Ripple has become one of the most used cryptocurrencies and has drawn a lot of attention because of its extremely low transaction fees. The SEC is claiming that the company has violated many laws when selling the coin to its investors initially. In fact when ripple was released it was a guarantee that the price would increase, however this was not the case and the coin continued to decline in price before reaching stability. Following this news teh ripple price dropped by close to 20%, a major drop in price. What you think the future of ripple is if this lawsuit goes ahead?

I would not like this lawsuit to affect ripple because after a long time we were able to get some kind of positive movement in ripple price. I hope this is sorted very soon.

I think that if ripple has to win the case against the SEC that there will be a major recovery of the price of the coin as it will show confidence to their investors and in so doing they will be able to build up a much larger user base. So do not worry about your investment in ripple. XRP plans to fight this lawsuit and if they win we may see great profits from ripple.

The law suit really affected the price of ripple and now i think it has dropped further to $0.27 ,as at the last time i checked , i just wish there could be a way to resolve the ripple saga i think

It is still being seen as allegations until it is being proven by a competent court of jurisdiction. So ripple should plan how defend themselves if it finally go through.

I don't think that this lawsuit will affect XRP greatly. After all it is a widely used coin because of it's low transaction fee. I hope the issue is sorted out soon.

I think that this fear is justified, especially in the terms of the lawsuit, because a win from the SEC could render the coin to be completely untradeable which will mean that all of the people that have investments in this coin may suffer huge losses. Therefore at this point in time it may be best to be cautious in this respect.

It is normal for most cryptos to drop. But this drop is massive. Thats almost a 50% drop. However i believe that it would recover before February.

The status of ripple recovery, in my opinion is dependent entirely on the lawsuit. If they win the lawsuit by that time the price is likely to increase drastically. However if they do not win the lawsuit or if it is still ongoing then the price could decrease further or become a dead coin altogether.

Yeah, this lawsuit is quite scary for us investors. Tho I only invested a small amount, I'm still horrified for what this case may result into. I hope they'll win the case. Smallest transaction fees on crypto I've paid so far.

I agree with you. I think that this is one of the main reasons that ripple is so popular in the crypto space, because of the fact that the transactions are so cheap. And as such, with such a huge user base, it would be in the best interest of ripple to fight this lawsuit, in order to retain that client base. Starting another coin after this will not have the same trust if ripple loses this case.

Perhaps the high user base in the ripple coin could aid in prompting these other coins to try and reduce their transaction fee. It is this one simple characteristic that has made ripple so attractive to investors in its use, and therefore if the major coins can adopt this too i think that they will be able to increase their volumes tremendously as well.

I think that the more the number of a coin users , the greater the potential to experience higher transaction fees. This is what I have observed

Yes this is true. The transaction fee is dependent on the number of users making transactions at that time, i.e the traffic on the network. However the transaction fees of coins like ripple are consistently low regardless of the traffic and it is this concept that i think bigger crypto coins should adopt in the future.

SEC indeed sued ripple, it's still ongoing at the moment which has made the prices of xrp to fall considerably but ripple is countering the suit so fingers crossed on the outcome
