Xapo provides the tools you need to purchase bitcoins, then manage them through our easy-to-use online wallet, spend them with a swipe of the Xapo Debit Card, or store them in Xapo's free, ultra-secure Vault.

Xapo.com Reviews.jpg

Xapo is an innovative and highly secured bitcoin wallet that can be used send, receive and trade the bitcoin currency. It was established in the year 2014 by Wences Casares. Xapo is a highly stable company as some of its investors include Pantera, Benchmark, and Fortress. It provides three types of features namely Wallet, Vault, and Debit card. Xapo Vault is used for storing bitcoins in a highly secured environment.

Pros:

1. Highly Secured Vaults: Xapo keeps the vault in various locations of three different subcontinents. It also stores the private keys and other confidential information on offline servers so that the security is not compromised. It also provides 24/7 security and monitoring for the vaults.

2. Plastic Debit card: Xapo provides a debit card for your wallet which can be used for online shopping. You can also withdraw money from ATMs using the card. But you have to pay a small fee for that. The debit card can be easily linked with your wallet. You can transfer funds to your wallet without any charge.

3. No fees for Currency Conversion: You can easily exchange different currencies using Xapo without any processing fee. It supports many currencies like INR, EURO, USD, GBP and more.

4. Unlimited Wallets for Businesses: Xapo provides the option of creating unlimited wallet accounts for businesses. It is possible to set different permission levels depending on the need. For example, you can restrict the permission for sending/transferring bitcoins only to certain people.

Cons:

1. Annual debit card charge of $12.

2. Shipping charges are very high for getting the Xapo debit card.

3. 3% Foreign exchange fee + Flat fee of 2 to 4 USD for withdrawal of money from ATMs.

4. The Xapo debit card is not available for USA, India and some other countries in Africa.

What's your experience with this wallet? share it

I think that's one of the best wallets Xapo, but lately has very large purchase fee, about a year ago was phenomenal wallet and very reliable regarding account security. It's all I use and if there are a very large fee

Xapo was initially my best bitcoin wallet, with easy to use interface and free xapo to xapo transaction fee. But recently i stop using them because of their high transaction fee and verification procedure which is compulsory for all members. I still hope to verify my account and continue using their services soon.

Same comments.
Same experience. Yes indeed this is a great and secure wallet to store your btcs. But for people like me that doesnt have a ton of bitcoins, the transaction fees are quite high. Costing me my precious bitcoins. :(
I use blockchain and fees now are very very low, how much cost sending 50$ worth of Bitcoin with Xapo?

One hypothetical question:
Would you have 50 Bitcoins stored on an online wallet or offline wallet? Experienced marketers say that offline is far safer, while online wallets carry the risk with them.

I never store Bitcoin to my wallet, I don't have that much, I always convert them to PayPal cash and pay my members.

Xapo wallet is well known to other country. Here in the philippines some use this btc wallet. I also have an account in xapo, easy to use and wonderful security features that you know your coins are safe. The only problem i noticed it has high transaction fee when you want to send to another btc wallet ex. Xapo to coins.ph.

The best two things in xapo is that u can get very low cash amount easly and also u can only use ur mail not have to rember or hold all the long adress, simple and very easy to handle

Thanks for information. I am fine if Xapo debit card is not available for India, this feature can be added later, plus I won't apply any card with high charges. Just if it supports currency conversion to INR, then it is a good option for us.

I knew about this wallet on moonbit, it has been a very reliable and secure wallet. They value their customers cos they will inform of very step they want to take for your

Xapo wallet is legit..:Smile::Smile::Smile: I have a account...:Smile::Smile::Smile:

The Xapo Wallet provides a way to manage your funds when you want and where you want. All it takes is the click of a button, the sending of an email or the swipe of your Xapo Debit Card.
Yes,I have too a Xapo wallet, but I don't use it for a long time.I have switched to another wallet, when Xapo was among the first wallets to raise the transaction fees. So,I have transferred my satoshis to an another wallet,to :Coinbase. At that time Coinbase transactions were without fees or very low fees. So,I am keeping my satoshis there.

@Preethy You are from India, but Xapo do not ship it's Debit card to India.
Although Xapo is based in Hong Kong, Asia; however, In Asia, only Israel and Turkey are supported by Xapo outside Hong Kong.

I have several issues to address .. the first being that I need to download their app and my old feature phone with the number associated with the account is unable to do so , so either a tablet capable of downloading apps that work with Xapo , or an inexpensive smart phone - which is the better way to go ? - since I kind of need a new laptop I'm sort of leaning to the tablet

I am doing research on devices but helpful advice is good too.

I've contacted Xapo support about this - the person suggested using a friends phone - but that number is not on my account so is that even possible?

as far as getting my coins to another wallet .. I currently have Coinbase , Coinpot , Faucethub and Block io - or I can create a new one elsewhere if that's a better way to go

just trying to avoid fees and all the hassle wherever possible

hopefully someone has answers for me :)
