❓ASK Would you install anti-adblocker on your website even if that would increase bounce rate?

For every action there would be a reaction. Adblock tech has been developed to combat annoying and intrusive ads wherever you go online. Publishers and webmasters don't like that though, that's why the developed anti-adblock tech. Now my question - would you install such tech on your website to increase ads revenue, at the cost of bounce rate? Is it worth it?

that's a really important subject
about myself, I am using two browsers (Brave when I am navigating or reading some articles because as you know that browser hid completely the ads)
and sometimes I am using chrome as you said to work on the Ptc sites or increase ads revenue

i would do, but on some conditions, you can't just push people to disable their adblocks when your website is full of ads, and whenever people click on some random spot a pop-up appears, you'll lose your visits like that, just ask them gently and try to throw some balanced number of ads there and everything should be fine

Definitely,i would install an anti adblocker on my website because ads are a major source of income for any bloggers, I think if the ads are not too much a lot of people don't really mind, it's when the ads are too much that it becomes annoying.

I would agree about that, there is a website that uploads movies and it has an anti adblock, the issue is that it's full of ads that whenever you click on the download button, atleast 3 pop-ups will appear that can make your phone/computer so laggy, people don't use that website anymore

Yeah, you are right I've had an experience like that too with a website that upload movies and it was very annoying, I had to look for an alternative website with less ads when I couldn't bear it anymore.

The time visitors spend on a website. Imagine if your visitor leave the site after only viewing one page. That means there's something wrong with your site. The higher the percentage the worse it gets.
That is what first came to my mind when I read your post
Bounce like literally ?
Thanks for the explanation , it is now very clear

If one puts ad blocker in his site , how then can he earn from ads or monetize the site ?
If it is for a user of a website , then it is ideal , as many sites are filled with very annoying ads .

I would never do that because how do i get sponsored on my website... This may lead to set back on my site... I need people to advertise on mysite inorder to gain more popularity for my site

What do you mean by "how do i get sponsored on my website"? This anti-adblock is to force people to disable their adblock so that they see the ads.

I think that this will work for people not using the ad blocker , if one uses it , he or she will be notify that the site is trying to open up ads , the person might be forced to leave the site entirely .
The best is not make site less ad free .

And then let the site dies since the owner not able to pay for domain, hosting, content cost and other expenses. That's not how running a site works.
This was never my point . ads help a site owner to earn , but then some site owner are too greedy , that the ads in the site makes it very difficult to navigate in the site . this is the ones am against .

I used to visit a site like this before , buy after awhile they filled it with so much ads that made even navigation impossible. I enevtaully left the site, ads are good but should be used with discretion.
That's the point I was trying to point out @Emoney . site owners needs ads , but when it is excess , it becomes annoying , and site users finds it difficult using the site .

Yeah, you didn't make your point clear in the your last post so...

I didn't make this thread for discussion about excessive ads either. Just about a site with moderate ads that may or may not use anti-adblock.

Displaying a message or prompt requesting that users disable their adblockers helps educate them on the value of advertising revenue for free content. To support your efforts, some users may whitelist your site or disable their adblockers.

I think it depends on the specific website and the goals of the website owner. On the one hand, anti-adblocker software can help to increase revenue by ensuring that more people see the ads on the website.
