Hello Guys,

Would you donate to a YouTuber you like and watch ? i mean videos not streaming, im trying to get some ideas to see what really drives people to donate ?

Is it Pure will to help ? a perk for your donations ? a shoutout ? or you don't donate at all

Share your ideas on what might entice people to donate or if you yoursellf actually donates share what made you want to do it below

thanks for your feedback

donation to a youtuber is solely if the certain youtuber post what i like, and if the video quality is high, I cannot donate to a youtuber, if such a person posts videos that I have to strain my eyes in order to see.

Exactly, first of all you have to build a community. This is very difficult on Youtube. I would recomend to use Tik Tok or Instagram (which I use) to build a community and later monetize it ;)

I'm not sure I'd be interested in donating to any YouTuber, to be honest. Maybe if I had the money and LOADS of it, I'd consider it if their channel was for a good cause. But we're all out here trying to push our hustles and chances are a YouTuber I like probably makes a pretty penny, anyway. They should probably be donating to ME LOL?

Well, you're. Not wrong people find it very difficult to donate to YouTube channels. It is very rare for you to find an individual that is actually willing to donate.

Usually you need some perks to make donations worthwhile for donators. Platforms like Patreon are pretty common and not just like any other one-time donation unless you've a major following and have a very good cause (e.g. retrenchment).

On the other hand, vloggers are likelier to receive donations for their travels.

A YouTuber was once asking for funds to provide clean water supply in some region. He gain my trust by showing proofs and results. I will definitely donate to such YouTubers who are fighting for a cause bigger than themselves
Yeah if the YouTuber has got some video proof to show how the people needs water to survive , he can get donations from philanthropists .

there is a good and bad thing about it in youtubers doing donations and good stuff, some of them unfortunately scam people even with the existence of proofs, they give what they want and take what they want

That's very commendable! And yes, you got me there - I would definitely want to help this kind of YouTuber because it's for a good cause. I wouldn't donate to those whose sole goal is to enrich themselves, especially the ones I know promote shoddy products and lie to their viewers about how good they are because they've been paid off.

Yes if the creator provide usefull videos, it will help those channel grow too, and it's good to help those channel create more great content

Nope
Why i have to donate some money to some one who make big money. Youtuber with many subscriber and huge vieww make big money

this makes sense, but donations are just like tips, just like in real life, you still give the delivery guy a tip even if you know that it's not needed and he'll get paid for his delivery anyways

I know

I know it. I often give tip for the delivery because he does a service. But it is different thing. A youtuber makes money from youtubing in big number

I have to say, this is a tough one. I buy a lot of hair products such as human hair and wigs from China. You have to be very careful who you buy from because sometimes what you see on the website is far from the real thing. Some YouTubers make the purchasing process even worse by endorsing these products, no matter how good or bad they are - because the companies give them the authentic stuff to use in their reviews and also pay them. This I totally don't agree with and will never ever reward these people for making a mug of me.

I cant agree anymore. I think when we watch their content including the advertisement, that is a good deal for us

I have never donated to a youtuber I like. This is because I dont have the money to do that. When I like the person's videos, I usually promote by liking, commenting and subscribing to the youtube channel.

I don't even have the money to donate to any Youtuber, I would rather support with my subscribe and thumbs up. However, if there is a good cause being promoted and it feels genuine, then I would consider that.

That's exactly what I was thinking as well! A lot of us here can barely keep our heads above water. The ironic thing is these YouTubers probably earn a whole lot more than any one of us can ever hope to earn. They are certainly not without. You're right, a thumbs up should suffice.

Offcourse, if it is someone you know and they need help, than I would consider it

Exactly my sentiment. They are making big bucks already especially the popular ones who may be bold enough to ask for donations from their fans.
