Hello Guys,

Would you donate to a YouTuber you like and watch ? i mean videos not streaming, im trying to get some ideas to see what really drives people to donate ?

Is it Pure will to help ? a perk for your donations ? a shoutout ? or you don't donate at all

Share your ideas on what might entice people to donate or if you yoursellf actually donates share what made you want to do it below

thanks for your feedback

I don't donate directly money but I support clicking on ads or subscribing. If somebody, YouTuber or somebody else, provides good and useful information, it's not problem for me clicking on ads on site for support.

I donated many times, usually under $10 to many YouTubers.

I donate because I feel good helping others.

It depends on what they are all about and whether I feel moved to do so. I donate when I believe my contribution will be made use of in the best way. So far I haven't come across any YouTuber that I would randomly donate to. I donate outside of YouTube however to causes I am passionate about.

If it's someone who is making quality videos and it's helpful and/or entertaining I would probably donate a few bucks from time to time. This is especially true if I know that the Youtuber who I'm donating to really needs the money. I prefer donating to people on who I see that they deserve the donations and it will keep them motivated.

Well I have never ever donated on YouTube till now. If I like any initiative or any subject raised in a nicely done video then I will always like that video and congratulate the channel online through my comments. If I am very interested in a topic or very highly impressed by the work then I definitely make it a point to subscribe to the channel.

Many YouTubers use services like Patreon that let the viewers pay a monthly commission in exchange for some sort of reward. Since ads don't pay very well on YouTube, I've sometimes used this to support a YouTuber I like in order for him/her to continue their work.

I think the only thing that I can donate to a certain you tuber is the moral support to keep going on his/her journey. I may like and share the video but I will not give any money since I don't have such like that.

Since i dont have money, if i liked what they are sharing in youtube i click the thumbs up button. And subscribe, maybe if your unto workshop that help others, or a charity i may consider donating.
I think its an act of help or for promotion purposes majority who donates.

Does PayPal take some fee when we donate money to Youtubers? I didn't donate yet so I don't. If anybody know it would be good if he post some proof here (screenshot of PayPal transaction).

I can't do monthly donation through Patreon. But I can donate one time to some youtuber. I have done that in past. And I also donate to some of the artists which are doing something good for the society. So it all depends on how much money I have and I am capable of donating. That's how I see things.

If a content creator is constantly creating excellent videos and it's useful and/or amusive i might donate a few dollars. I only really donate to YouTubers who aren't that popular and or need the cash. Donating in some respects isn't about the donation its a form of motivation which keeps the small Youtuber growing and creating content on a regular basis.

Your support could result in the small Youtuber growing and becoming successful.

Most streamers and content creators use StreamLabs. PayPal takes roughly 3 percent of the total amount you send. As you are paying for a service, the online payment platform requires for both the buyer and seller to have protection incase donations perks weren't given etc.

I think regular quality content creators needs to be rewarded. Because with adblockers out, many of the creators on youtube and outside are not earning as much as they should. And it can be pretty good option to make use of patreon or the youtube donation. This can definitely make many channel creators something to stand with. I used to make use of the streamlabs but I didn't get anything out of it, So just using paypal thesse days.

It depends entirely on the situation. For example, while I might buy PewDiePie's or Linus Tech Tip's merch, I wouldn't donate on, say, patreon because I know they make a lot of money already - Linus has his own company, for crying out loud. However, I might donate to smaller YouTubers because they make less money and advertising revenue can be low if you are a small content creator.

Depends on the YouTuber and the content they create, if I see that the YouTuber in question has great ads running on their videos or have sponsors in most of their videos and have low cost for producing these videos I usually don't reach for the "Become a Patron" button as I know they can get through without my $1 too. But if the YouTuber struggles with getting ads from YouTube which is a widespread problem right now / struggle with getting sponsors that their fans might like / make videos with high production cost and I really like their content I usually chip a buck or two to their Patreon. For example, one person I'm supporting on Patreon right now is NFKRZ (content might not be top notch but I like his views on things and personality).

Why not especially if the content of the YouTube owner Worth's my time. I do donate though little because I enjoy their contents and want them to continue with their videos.

I dont even know you, why should I donate you?
Have you some project or something like that or some charity project?
If you have then might be some of us will share some donate to you

I don't think donation on You Tube is commonplace. Besides, You tube has increased their ads now most people would think it's enough to give content creators more money, though in reality that isn't true.
