Wordpress.com takes down my blog, https://99percentreviews.wordpress.com/ last month stating that I breach one of their terms and conditions. Probably it's because I publish controversial articles like "Illegal Online Investments Under 10 US Dollar," "How Professional Internet Investment Scammers Operate," etc. I thought they support freedom of speech. They advice me to self-host my blog. My problem now is that, if I go to the url of my website, http://99percentreviews.com/, it says '404 Not Found. The resource requested could not be found on this server!' Does anyone here know how to solve this?

You have wordpress installed on your webhost.

And yes, wordpress.com doesnt really like anything that mentions things like criminal etc.

They scrub their websites for keywords and if an admin decides its not okay for their platform they delete your content.

Pretty harsh and a big reason why I dont like wordpress.com

Smart move to get a hosting provider. Make sure you read the Tos so you dont face the same problem again.

At least do you have a backup of your articles to import them in the new site?

I can see your new blog loading just fine but is empty.

I don't really remember your blog, but I find it hard to believe that Wordpress wouldn't allow "controversial articles".

If your blog contained affiliate links, Wordpress.com don't allow affiliate links for gambling, get-rich-quick schemes, multi-level marketing programs, disreputable merchants, pornography, malware, or phishing-type scams. Nor do they allow blogs that only seek to drive traffic to affiliate links.

As someone has already pointed out, if you have a backup of your articles your best option right now is probably to get a hosting provider, Most hosts support Wordpress, and if they don't, you can always set it up yourself using Wordpress.org.

You could also contact someone at Wordpress.com to try and figure what exactly caused your site to be shut down, and possibly get it back.
